Josh is totally cool too, hehe, and I see what you mean about the Viggo comparison. He can definitely be in Lorien--as to the why, well, that's up to you, he's yours, eh? I'm thinking on how he should join. I know a chunk of the elves don't like humans much, but the Dúnedain are very respected so I think that'd make him okay in Amala's mind. Also, I have a feeling that once prophecy gets handed down, Amala's probably going to be second-guessing it and nabbing anybody that wants to join the quest. xD

How he would join the quest was more of my question, but yeah...I'm not that stressed about it. Hopefully the elves will be cool with it since his people are all rockin' with them down in Rivendell.
I may be late coming to play tonight (we're supposed to be watching Machete), but I'll try to be good and have him published this evening so he'll be ready whenever he's needed.

This is going to be so fantastic, oh my goodness.
(Cesare probably won't be suited to Rugged Adventuring, let alone ELVES? IN MY WORLDVIEW?, but he's more magic-oriented than Chiaro, who can really roll with anything.)

Okay, we'll need like a good list or something of when and how people are joining, because it's starting to get jumbled in my head (so many characters!). I think the majority will be starting in Lorien, and the rest come later? I know that Amala and Edie will run into Destin on the way out of the palace, and then somewhere between meeting him and arriving in Paris they'll run into Heldir, and I'm thinking maybe here is when they first encounter some darkspawn. Somewhere after that the group will run into Skaz's chars in Paris (where/how up to you, Skaz, since they're yours!), and they'll briefly return to Lorien to warn of the darkspawn and also so Amala can inform her dad of things. Jess, I'm not sure where Amras is exactly atm, but he can join at either times the group's in Lorien or when they're in Paris. Either way, once all that's done and everyone's done what they need to do the party will head off from Lorien to Thedas (not sure how, we can brainstorm more on that, or just wing it, haha). They'll land in Ferelden where they'll meet up with Ailwen, Maya and Zevran (I'm guessing Zevran will be in by then?). I'm not quite sure when Alistair learns of the Blight in Lorien and joins the party, but at some point he will also join the group. The whole party as it will be then (huge!) will then be making their way across Thedas all the way up into the Anderfels ( map here. Starting point will be somewhere in Ferelden, possibly near/at Highever). Nothing's written in stone in so far as what happens while the party is traveling, so we can just wing it for that stuff. In the end they'll be reaching these ancient ruins where Carsomyr is prophesied to be. There's also nothing concrete about happens in the ruins aside from finding the sword, so there can be more pulling-out-of-thin-air! Once the sword is gained (and also, I'm thinking maybe each party member will get a cool dealie out of this), there'll be a stopover in Weisshaupt for whoever wants to join the Gray Wardens and perform the ritual. Then we're off back to Lorien to save it from getting it's ass kicked by a Blight. Phew, whoodam. *wipes brow* If I've missed anything or mis-remembered anything, please please tell me, and also please tell me if I'm playing too fast and loose with how anyone's characters behave. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, and as always feel free to throw in ideas--after all, there's a lot that can happen on such a long land-bound journey.

When she realizes a Blight is beginning in Lorien, Ailwen will go to the palace and ask for a pledge of soldiers when the time comes, at which point Alistair, feeling obligated to help since he's one of the only two living Grey Wardens to have faced an Archdemon, will leave someone as Regent and join the party.

^Awesome. I mostly was just wondering if he would be joining at the start of the journey in Thedas or before they return to Lorien.
Megan and Mira: I honestly am not ignoring you guys or trying to leave you out, but I don't know what you have planned or what Steerpike and Eleanor have been up to lately (I know about Eva, though, and how Mira you said she didn't really want to become Queen?). Obviously the royals will learn about the monsters in their kingdom, there's no way they'd not hear about it. As for Amala the Wannabe Usurper, I'm not sure how things will go--her and her father's ambitions so far are secret, but after the mess with the monsters is taken care of is where things get murky, since I don't know how she's going to be doing any of it. Thoughts, ideas?

Wow.
Information!
Amras would have to be in Lorien, maybe they can go to him to help them get to Paris, seeing as he spends half of his time in the human world as an ambassador for the elves.

The presence of funky supernatural shit (well, funkier and more supernatural than what's usually around in Paris -- stuff that's got the Taint Of Eeeevil on it) will make Cesare's inner demons (hnur hnur) go haywire. He has a rather primitive understanding of what his own issues are, but if there's still a little Eau d'Evil hanging around on the two of them when they get to Paris, or anything like that, he'll pick up on it and follow them for a while. (And Chiaro will follow him.) He'll lend his sword to the whole affair, not because he has a deep desire for Good to triumph and the forces of Nastiness to be vanquished but because he's antsy as hell without anything to do. And secretly just wants to get Chiaro alone in a tent.

Awesome! So it looks like in the beginning we'll just be picking up party members like that *snaps fingers*, and then hit Thedas and grab the rest of the folks and then it's onwaaaards!

Watching Gormenghast now, by sheer coincidence. YAY CONVENIENT RESEARCH, as I'd forgotten my copy of the books back in California when I moved.

I'm terrible about keeping track of when I'm supposed to come in, plotwise, so to those who have my AIM handle (laudandhonour) -- feel free to drop me a line if there's awesome shit going down and I've managed to not notice it, or it's my time to hop in/could be.

Poor Eva is starting to feel like a prince in the tower minor character in a Shakespeare History.
Hell, the best solution for her might be to have a child, have that kid grow up super fast, then have them marry a challenger to the throne. Politics are crazy.

Oooo...would we end up with a War of the Roses-type situation? That'd be really interesting to see something like that pan out in a fantasy setting.
