Lee headed toward his own borrowed room to put away his coat, brushing out his long hair, deciding to leave it down for the evening. Changing out of his warm, heavy suit, Lee chose one of his native outfits he had Jason bring for him - a soft green outfit that was a more form-fitted than most usual Chinese wear, tailored for him rather than left to be loose silk.
Once refreshed, Lee went back out into the hall, listening for where Jason might be.

From the sound of it, he'd decided to run a bath--not unusual for him in the afternoons when he left early, it relaxed his sore and tired muscles. The water was going, but the door was open as Jason moved back and forth from his room to the bathroom.

"M. Cluont?" called Lee from the bottom of the stairs, making sure to keep his gaze averted in case the inspector happened to be indecent as he passed.
"Would you like me to make you some tea?" he asked.

He was still dressed, boots and all, and paused at the stairs on his way back into the bathroom.
"Yes, if you would," he said pleasantly, "Thank you, M. Chaolan."
Jason offered a slight bow and disappeared into the bathroom, closing the door.

Smiling, Lee was off to the kitchen, brewing a pot of tea for the both of them. Again, he had that strange feeling of pleasantness with his being so servile to the Frenchman, but he still had no reason to not enjoy it.
When the tea was ready, Lee brought it all up on a tray, balancing the lot on his palm to knock on the door. "M. Cluont! I have your tea ready!" he said rather cheerily, waiting to see if he would be granted access.

"Er..." He splashed around a moment, cursed quietly, and the muffled click of metal was heard.
"I'll be out in a moment, just take it to the study."

"R-right!" he said with a mild laugh, heading downstairs after murmuring a soft apology.
Setting up the tea on the table near the couch, Lee waited patiently on the leather seating, though he was drumming his fingers together nervously. He obviously felt dumb for trying to bring the tea upstairs, but he wasn't sure why he felt nervous.

The man came down a moment later, trousers and boots in perfect order, though shirt untucked and mostly open. He had shaved as well, carving his sharp and neatly-trimmed sidebolts from the stubble of his face, and his hair was combed back in its usual position, but held only by the damp of the bath without the aide of pomade.
He nodded to Lee and took a seat on the couch a bit away from the man, turned toward the tea setup.

Lee felt his face flush at the sight of the inspector. Nearly swallowing his tongue, Lee smiled crookedly and sat forward on the couch, leaning to pour Cluont his share of tea first, then he sat back, holding the cup up to the inspector.
From the soft rattle of the cup on its saucer, it could be assumed Lee's hands were shaking.

Jason took the cup and frowned a little.
"Are you alright, M. Chaolan?"

"What? Yes, I'm fine," he said, quickly putting his hands in his lap.
Why am I shaking like this? I couldn't be... Lee rubbed at his face, noticing it felt very warm. Silently, he started chastising himself for being so deeply taken in by the Inspector's kindness... of course, the man's looks had more to do with his immediate, flustered state.
"I think I just need a bit of lunch," he said quickly, beginning to stand. Now he was overthinking things, and needed to clear his head.

"Of course--everything in the kitchen is yours to use. Are you sure you're well, you look a bit feverish. I'd be happy to run you a cool bath..."
He set his tea down, concerned now.

"I... maybe..." he said, sounding unsure of himself. He was standing right in front of Jason, his hands folded together in front of him. His face was still a light pink, and he had pushed his gaze to somewhere in the vicinity of the bigger man's knees.

"Here, sit..."
The policer curled one thick arm around Lee's back and guided him down, still looking quite troubled for his guest's wellbeing.
"Perhaps I should get a doctor?"
He lifted and handed the tea that had been poured for him, pressing it into Lee's hands.

"I'm not sick..." insisted Lee, though it was a rather shy insistence. Sipping the tea, he closed his eyes and tried to remain calm. "I think I just need something to eat... I haven't had a thing since this morning..."
Though he still did not want Jason to fuss over him - it wasn't demeaning, just... different.
