Amras lay back on his bed thinking of the woman in the church.
She seemed terribly sick, and terribly upset, he couldn't imagine why though.
He sighed and shook his head, thinking about coming home for the first time in ten years.

John smiled and pulled Marie to his side "Amras, open up."

"John?" Amras jumped up and opened the door only to see "Wild, John and little Marie? What are you three doing here?"

*Wild smiled and looked up at him.*
"Hello Amras. Good to see you again. Sorry for bursting in on your room this late, but something has happened and now I'm not certain of what to do."

"Well come in, come in, it is freezing outside" he ushered them all inside and raised an eyebrow "what is wrong?"

"Wild had a disagreement with a woman where she is staying and wishes to know if you could take her along with you to Lorien" John replied without waiting for Wild to ask.
He winked at her and sat down on Amras's bed.

*Wild smiled warmly and grateful to John. Then she looked up at Amras again.*
"I would be very grateful. I was told to leave Notre Dame."

"That girl" he said softly sitting next to John "the one that yelled at me, she is the one who asked you to leave yes?"
He sighed "I will take you."

*Wild looked sadly back at him.*
"She's the one who told me to leave, yes. But I don't blame her. She is, after all, just a human, with the problems only humans have to carry."
*She smiled.*
"Thank you for taking me with you."

"Just a human" he said softly "humans are stronger than you think Wild. We elves carry the same burdens as they do, only we have power they could never posses. At least, that's what I thought-" he turned to John with a smile "-you should never treat them as a seconday peoples. They are just as powerful as we are, they feel just the same way we feel."
He placed a soft hand over John's.

*Wild smiled back and lifted up Marie, giving the child a big hug and held her protectively in her arms.*
"I know that, Amras. But you can't blame me for getting upset when she blames me for Father Joseph losing his faith in God. I was trying to help, but nothing went as I intended it to do."

John looked down at the ground "Wild it is not just her, I saw a little of the conversation we were sitting on the couch. In the letter that she read, it was the father that laid some of the blame on you."
John squeezed Amras's hand "You did what you had to do, he can not understand that" smiling he stood up and let go of the other mans hand "but you can not hate them, promise me that, do not hate them for what they felt. We humans are a delicate breed and ones that believe in the almighty are even more so love."

*Wild looked sadly back at John, and her voice was hurt.*
"I know that the Father blames me. He stopped speaking to me when I tried to tell him about the fight against the Enforcer. He called it blasphemy. And that is not fair.
During the fight The Enforcer revealed that he was a Dark elf that had gotten his power from demons. I tried to beat him with all other means first. Fighting techniques, my knife, but nothing helped. Not before I started using my magic.
I killed one of my own - to keep the rest of the world safe from more of his killings. Is it so wrong to sacrifice one life to save a million others?"

"You are not on the spot here Wild, there is no need to defend your actions, we all understand why you did what you did. But you have to be understanding too-" he looked down at Marie who was clutching on to Wild with soft eyes.
"Wildfeather-" Marie started "-chur a good girl loike me, you go' 'urt, an' some baddies 'urt chur friends so you twought 'im a lesson. The priest is jus' scared that 'e didn't teach you about the nwot takin' a loife part. An' the lady- the lady is just scared too- but we ain't, no, we know you're notta baddie, so you don' 'afta tell us twice."
