*Hank couldn't believe the stupidity of his fellow officers*
"Do you mean to tell me that with all the murders that have been going on, you haven't investigated any of them?!"
"Well, there was one, a chorus girl solved it for us..."
*Hank gave a look of contempt. He flipped through the unsolved murders, when suddenly one made him stop*
She looks so much like my Nicole...
"Melpomene de Averie", he whispered.
"Oh yeah, we figure that one was a sex crime. Never really bothered to look into it, though. Just a poor girl, nobody really cared about her."
*Hank Quinlan gave one of the scariest looks in history to the cop who had said this. He picked up his cane*
"Well, it's going to be solved."

*It had been some time since the incident with Dracula. In that time, Irene applied herself to her detective work. Finally, she was accepted as a Homiced Detective on the Parisian police force.*

NEW DAY
*Irene spoke on the phone*
"Yeah, probably around the end of the ((insert name of 1800's war)) war. Cheeks cut out. There was some kid accused of the crime, I remember. Alright, when you get it, send it to Agent Bristow."

*Maria entered the police station and asked a officer where she could find the new homicide detective. The man pointed her to an office and Maria walked over to hit and knocked on the door before entering.*
"Hi, I hope I am not interrupting, but I think there's a ......."
*Maria stopped talking when she noticed that the new homicide detective was the woman whose husband she had been trying to kill for some time.*

*Irene looked up at Maria. Her first instinct was to tell the paranoid girl to get out, but instead she smiled and pulled out a chair for her.*
"How can I help you?"

*Maria stared at Irene for a moment before she sat down. This was going to be awkward.*
"Well madame Ebauche, I kind of ran into some trouble, which think the police should handle, since it isn't my area of expertise. It doesn't involve vampires or other monsters, you see."

"Please, go ahead" *she said.*
Poor girl. She means well.

*Maria leaned back in her chair.*
"There was a man, in a motel just outside Paris."
*She thought hard about what she was going to say next and when she finally did spoke, she almost whispered the words.*
"I think there was something wrong with him. He tried to kill me, he could have killed me, but he didn't."

"Can you describe him for me?"

NEW DAY
*Mackie was getting along fine with the local police force. Those who were not charmed by his smile could be by his ample supply of gold, and it looked like he might enjoy complete non-interferance.
The only one who gave him any trouble was a pretty, auburn-haired female detective. When he offered her a few coins, she only looked into his eyes and spoke harshly*
"Keep it."
A clean cop. That means trouble.
"You dislike me, Miss Adler?"
"I suppose if I gave it any thought, I probably would."
*He gave her a leering wink as he strolled out the door*

*NEW DAY* *Mike was shown to a desk, his desk, which was swamped with files. He looked up and raised and eyebrow. "Those are just the homicide files." *A cop told him.* "Those in that box over there are robberies and that entire cabinet over there is filled with sex crimes cases." *Mike gulped and sat down behind his desk. He was going to be working overtime this week. And next week. Perhaps even the whole year. He opened the file which lay on top of a stack and began reading it.* Female victim. Cause of death: Multiple stabbings. Crime scene: The Opera Garnier or Populair. Possible victim of a serial killer..... A serial killer. Mon dieu*He looked at a picture of the victim and sighed. It always was a shame when pretty girls ended up like this. He would catch this killer, for this girl and all the others he had killed.*
