"Of course it's Earth. I'm just trying to ascertain which Earth."

*Sarah shrugged at that*
"Got me there. I'm only a relatively recent arrival, myself. You'd have to ask one of the veterans of this place if it has an alternate name from Sueniverse."

"Sueniverse?"

*She nodded*
"It's a weird name, I know. It refers to all the people with special powers that it gets populated with from other worlds."
*She realized she was probably talking too much, and breaking the rules of said 'verse, but it was hard to stop once she started*

"Something's broken in the 'verse?"

((Does anyone else think that what's wrong with the 'verse is that all the characters are finding out about it? ))

((It makes sense with Christopher's canon.))

*NEW DAY*
The Persian was convinced, by now, that Erik lived, and lived under the Opera. But he had not yet ventured below. There was too much to know. Too much to determine. He would watch, for now. Erik was dangerous--and if the words of Nadir meant anything at all, even less predictable than before.
He stood, half in shadow, still and quiet and almost like a phantom himself.
((tag anyone))

((I hope it's okay for her to recognize him))
Christine was backstage that day when she was aware of being watched- or rather, being watched along with everyone else in the room. Thinking of Erik, she turned her head and saw a strangely familiar shadow.
It couldn't be...

((Yup--I'm playing fast and loose with this idea--Erik will probably recognize him too, though he remembers Nadir in the same place. If that makes sense, which it doesn't.))
His jade eyes glinted in the half-light as they flickered over Christine Daae. He did not know the girl--only that she had a leading role in the opera they were rehearsing. He had observed that all the leads, thus far, were somewhat odd. He would be little surprised if Mlle Daae was any different.

**YET ANOTHER DAY**
The atmosphere at the Opera was like nothing the Persian had seen before.
Everyone seemed to be a gossip. Everyone, moreover, seemed oversexed in a way he had not expected in a so-called "civilized" country. He was no prude, but he was surprised by the way the girls and the orchestra and the stagehands carried on with one another. The air seemed thick with it, and the daroga dutifully observed it all and tried not to feel like a voyeur.
It wasn't as if he got off on this sort of thing.
He still knew next to nothing about Erik, but he was, perhaps, not moving so quickly on that front as he might. He was not certain he would like what he found, and he didn't know what he'd do once he found it. So he leaned much about the stars and the backstage folk of the opera, most of whom avoided him studiously without bothering to ask him to leave.
