((Sounds fab. I'll start the board, as I don't know when I'll be on next. River, if you object, then I'll delete it.))

*peaks around backstage, wandering like someone with no clue where they're going*
"Hmm..."
*pauses briefly*
"Erik? You around?"
*waits for an answer*

Demiselle had wandered into the backstage, looking for Sydney. She stopped short when she saw a skeleton...in a black cloak, and raised her eyebrows.
"Excuse me, monsieur...you are He?" she asked, calmly examining the scythe Death held in his bony hand.

*looks up, stunned. And adds as innocently as possible:*
"Um...'he' who?"

*POSTING AS DEMISELLE*
Demiselle smiled, slowly.
"You are Death, are you not?"
"I have seen you many times before," she added softly.

*a bit shy as Death wasn't expecting anyone back here but Erik*
"Well...yes I am actually. I don't scare you? It would be so nice to have someone that doesn't constanly in terror..."
*begins to outstretch a boney hand in greeting, pauses for an "ah-ha" moment, withdraws the hand, reaches into the cloak and retrieves and puts on some black gloves. Then re-outstretches hand.*
"I can never be to careful. Don't want to do anything unpleasant.
So you're familiar with my work..."
*touches other hand to head*
"...Demiselle?"
"Have you been busy?"

*POSTING AS DEMISELLE*
Demiselle smiled at him. She was beginning to like Death.
"I've been rather well-aquainted with you," she said, gently shaking his hand. Her hard eyes softened slightly.
"You don't need to worry about gloves around me. I don't die that easily, I promise."
"I have been quite busy...are you here for a particular reason, or are you...what is the word?...on holiday?"

"I like a woman with guts."
*removes gloves*
"You are most astute. I am in fact on a holiday. Business has been booming, which is great, but can wear you down."
Very interesting specimen indeed.
"So what are you doing here? In town for something special, or would you have some time to share with a rather odd companion? We could take in a show if one is playing. I'm not sure, I was going to go check with managers next, assuming that they're around. Don't suppose you know where I could find them?"
*Looks surprisingly charming for a creepy skeleton.*

*POSTING AS DEMISELLE* ((Sorry, I've got a dead body to clean up over in The Halls of Macedonia))
To her own astonishment, Demiselle laughed softly.
"I am here with the blessing of the Opera Ghost, but he is indisposed at the moment, and so I await his leisure. I would enjoy a show, I think."
She smiled fondly at him.
"As for the managers, I believe they're normally in their office. May I lead you?"
She bowed, slightly.

"Thank you."
*follows wherever she leads, adding on the way:*
"So you are in acquittance with the Opera Ghost? I was hoping to reach him while I was in town. We did some great work a while back, and I'd like to catch up with him. Do you think you could let him know I'm looking for him if you see him? I would really appreciate it."
*continues on the trek, admiring the art and architecture*

*POSTING AS DEMISELLE* ((I really am sorry about all this. I'm on the hunt for my wife))
Demiselle smiled as they began to climb the stairs.
"I came here on behalf of a lineage. I met Erik, and he gave me his blessing to wander. I have not seen him in many months, but I shall gladly pass along the message."
She paused in front of a beautiful painting of Achilles weeping over Patrocles.
"This is grief, at its most beautiful, I think," she said gently, letting a rare emotion show through that was not hate or cold calculation. "Achilles so loved him that he followed him down into the Underworld...tell me" she said, turning to Death, "do they love each other in Elysium as they did here?"

((No problem. Good luck finding who you seek.)) "Thanks for offering to pass it on if you see him." "Huh. I assume so. Maybe. I pretty much just get them there. Don't spend too much time on the other side. I prefer to vacation over here." That was weird. Is she hitting on me? Maybe it's just me. But if so...What an odd girl. But very interesting. And as they say, when in Rome...((ps. I assume we have left the Backstage thread, want to move it over to the Manager's Office? I can meet you there. ))
