Sarah had had trouble sleeping, and not wanting to disturb Jay had dressed and stepped outside for a bit. As she stared up at the stars, she thought of what the problem was: the weirdness with those words in her head, and her mysteriously color-changing hair. She'd gone from an almost-black dark brown, to looking like Rogue, to almost-Storm. Only a few stray whisps remained of the original color. The rest was snowy white.
And those words. Why the hell was that one line from Jabberwocky so stubbornly stuck in her head? As she thought about it, the wind blowing her hair around, something clicked: Excalibur.
Excalibur was a vorpal sword?
With that thought, she felt a movement beneath her feet, as though the roof of the hotel suddenly heaved as the ground would in an earthquake--a sensation of rising and falling, although neither was actually happening. Feeling faint all of a sudden, she stumbled her way back to the door that would lead back inside, and it wasn't until she was reaching out for the knob that she realized she'd been mumbling random bits and pieces from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
She slid down, right in front of her goal, the last strands of her hair going white as a blaze of light suddenly erupted from her prone form. When the light went out, the figure lying on the roof was markedly different than the woman that had walked out there earlier.
"...the mome raths...outgrabe..." she mumbled.

Having followed her up there Jay only managed to catch half of the life and ran to her side.
"Sarah! Sarah! Darling."
Gathering her up in his arms he headed toward their room.

While he was running, her eyes fluttered open briefly.
"Oh dear me, it seems I've fainted." She said, with an English accent that she'd never had before.
Then, she went right back to being unconscious.

He quickly made it down to their room and laid her down on the bed "Sarah! Come on now, wake up!"

She blinked awake again, and slowly sat up.
Glancing around the room, she said:
"Curiouser and curiouser."

Jay sat back on his knee's "Sarah darling, are you all right?"

"Oh, dearest, I am perfectly all right." She said, in that same accent that hadn't been there before.
"Why, in fact, I feel positively famished of a sudden."

Jay squinted his eyes and grabbed her hands "Are you sure you're all right? I mean you're acting a bit... off."

She gave a musical little laugh.
"Oh, nonsense! I've never been better."
So saying, she did a graceful little hop to her feet.

"Well" he sat back on the balls of his feet "I mean, you are speaking in an english accent..."

She tilted her head to one side, looking thoughtful.
"Am I?"
She laughed, a tinkling, almost fey sound.
"Well, so it seems!"

He stood up, looking more than concerned "Darling, when you were up there, you fell and hit your head-"

"Oh, no. I was just watching the sky and thinking."
She shook her head.
"No hitting my head or losing it or any such thing."

He frowned "I'd like to take you to the doctor."

Both eyebrows went up.
"But I feel just fine! And if anyone needs tending to, I can do it."
She paused, thinking.
"I suddenly know how."
