Nattie sat in a chair in her room as she waited for Nicky.
She'd once again convinced her gaurdians that she was to be fine on her own, that if anything was to happen that they'd still be on the grounds and within shouting distance.
Straightening her dress she looked across the room in to a mirror. Her reflection showed a girl younger than she felt, which caused her to frown.

"Who is it?" She said with a lift of hope that it wasn't another girl there to ask her for help with some mundane problem.

"Oh, terribly sorry to have interrupted you; do you happen to know where Nadezhda Petrova lives?" He inquired, playing along.

"Mars" she smirked "and is the new princess of it."

"Oh, I suppose I should hook up my interplanetary transportation balloon. My deepest apologies."
And with that he began walking down the hall, and in turning revealed the bouquet of flowers he had brought with him.

He laughed, turned, and bowed--grinning.
"At your service then, Mademoiselle Nattie."

"But being an adult seems so boring," he whined. "My father turned into one and he certainly never seemed very happy about it."

"Well, the whole freedom thing can be nice," he conceded, offering an arm.

"And being able to say in close company whatever you want, without your mat looking over shoulder to scold you with her eyes."
