*For a moment Edward was stumped. She had several good points, but he wouldn't let that stop him.*
"I don't care whether or not I should be back here. I want some costumes and I've come to take them. Never know when you'll need a good costume. They're great for disguises, special occasions, walking around the Opera House making yourself look like an idiot wearing a costume for no reason... I could go on and on."
*He stepped past her, brushing her side.*
"Now, if you're not planning to have sex with me, you can leave while I get my costumes. Or you could always stay..."
*He flashed her a devilish grin and began rifling through the costumes.*

*She gasped, shocked at his audacity and the wording he used* "You, sir, are nothing more than a ruffian! I'm reporting you to the management!" *Forgetting that she was still wearing the costume, she stormed out of the room *

*Edward chuckled as she left. He grabbed the costumes he wanted and shoved them in an empty sack so no one would get suspicious, ignoring the fact that the sack migt arouse suspicion, and strolled out of the cotume room.*
"As if the management can do anything to me."

***NEW DAY***
Vienna strolled in, armed with a clipboard and peacock feather pen and wearing a lovely and expensive-looking green velvet gown. Her corset was cinched to a width that barely looked possible and her red hair was pulled back in an elegant twist. She wandered amongst the costumes, hardly touching any or even looking at them for long, but very obviously noticing every detail as she scribbled down descriptions of each one. If there was any hope for the costume department here, she first had to know exactly what she had to work with and how much she'd have to make herself.
((Anybody wanna play?))

*Diamanta gently knocked upon the door. She had worked here long, long ago but she had heard that a new costume mistress was now in charge. She had returned in hopes that she was kinder than the last.*

Vienna paused in her writing, glancing over at the door. "Yes?"

*Diamanta opened the door.*
"I heard you were looking for staff?"
*She asked, a little nervously.*

"Oh!" A smile spread easily across her face. "That was fast. I'm Vienna Eisler, the costume mistress." She walked over and offered her hand. "I am looking for a staff."

"Diamanta Hatfield."
*Diamanta shook her hand, smiling.*
"I used to work here but the previous Costume Mistress was a dragon, I have been working in a bridal shop."

"Excellent," Vienna responded, her manner suddenly more businesslike. "So you obviously have a great deal of experience then, if you worked on wedding gowns..."
She quirked an eyebrow at Dia and hoped the response was not something like "Oh no, I just cleaned up after the seamstresses there."

*Diamanta shrugged.*
"I made the adjustments for the main seamstress. Also all the simpler bridemaids clothing."
*She knew how dresses worked, she was not ashamed of that.*

Vienna nodded casually, seeming to have already lost interest in the interview portion of this meeting. "Alright. Help me catalogue everything over here, huh?" She indicated the wall of closets and shelves to the right of the doorway, handing Dia her clipboard and a spare fountain pen.
Keeping a few sheets of paper for herself, she continued along the side of the room she'd been focused on before the other woman had shown up. If this worked out, great. If Dia turned out to know nothing about clothing, Vienna could just get rid of her after having her help with this. It was not as if writing down what they had in here required anyone to understand the construction of costumes.

*Diamanta took a pen and wandered over to the mens section of the costume room. She frowned and picked up a pair of breeches.*
"Why are there women's clothing in with the mens?"
*She felt the middle of the breeches.*
"Cherubino 1866."

"Hmm?" Vienna had already returned all her focus to what she was writing and she seemed only to half hear Dia. "Oh, everything's a mess here. I was out on the stage a few days ago and there are actually costumes just laying there on the floor."
She continued making notes in silence for a beat. "Where are you from, Diamanta? Before the bridal shop, I mean." She glanced over her shoulder and smiled in a very chummy manner.

"A village in the Loire. My father was a cobler."
*She rolled her eyes.*
"It was very ordinary."
