Raphael's born family had not used their box in ages, but Amy was still able to use it. Such opulence might have impressed her once, but now it was almost all she was used to.
The performance was Don Giovanni, with only two actresses whose names sounded familiar (La Carlotta as Donna Anna and Christine Daae as Zerlina.) As lovely as the music was, the swordfight at the beginning only made her homesick for her own rakish aristocrat.

Once again, Liath found herself in the midst of boredom. It was intolerable, really--just when she thought she'd found an interesting diversion, it went and vanished on her.
She returned to the opera, the site of her first day of exile, and found it occupied, for once. Occupied, and by someone interesting.
The sidhe appeared in a flutter of leaves, a smirk already in place.
"Well, hello there."

Amy looked up, her eyes wide.
"Who are you?"

"I'm Liath," she said, smiling a little.
"Just dropping in."

"Liath...a beautiful name. Are you human?"

Her smile grew.
"Why thank you...and no, I'm not. Is it that obvious?"
Already, she was starting to like this one.

"I have seen humans with magic, and it is sometimes hard for me to tell who is what. But your manners are...strange. I have not known humans, even those with magic, to take it so lightly."
She gave the slightest hint of a smile.
"My name is Amy."

She gave a little bow.
"I appreciate your candor. And yes, I suppose my people do take it lightly, but then, it's everywhere around us.
Pleased to meet you, my dear."

"Are there more like you in Paris? It feels so very empty to me, though I know there must be more of my kind."

Liath had to think about that for a moment.
"I don't know that there are more of the Sidhe here...but there are quite a few of your own kind. I've gotten the impression from my time in the city that they're quite common."

"I have been all alone since I came here. Perhaps we could work together- I feel a bit lost without my Master, and you seem to know your way around magic."

One could almost see the wheels turning in Liath's head at this suggestion. She'd never had a problem with vampires, after all, and having one as an ally could hardly hurt. That, and she was flattered by the magic comment.
"Oh, most certainly, I do. I'm sure I could put my resources to work and help you?"

"Perhaps. I seek my master Raphael Sorel and the sword Soul Calibur. I suspect one might be found near the other."

Liath turned thoughtful for a moment. She vaguely recalled hearing something about the Soul Caliber, but she had so many "powerful sword" legends mixed up in her head that she wasn't sure which one Soul Caliber was.
"Raphael I'm afraid I've not heard of before, though that doesn't necessarily mean anything. But I recall some talk about the Soul Caliber being hereabouts."
