"Lead the way, as before...I don't really know my way around the marketplace."

"There's so many in Paris these days, one for every district I'm thinking. This one just happens to be down the street" they headed off in a direction where a magician was telling a story, and just happened to be right next to a bread stall.
John inhaled "Mmmm."

"I haven't really seen much of Paris...but if you ever got lost in the back alleys, I could help you find your way out."
He ignored the smell of the bread, in the practiced manner of one who has often gone hungry and had to pretend they didn't notice such things, lest they go mad.

"Honestly?" He looked at a couple different loaves "I'm going to have to take you on a tour of the city, it's really more beautiful then one would believe."

"Yeah. Except for a few hotels and the opera house, eh, I don't really know my way around the normal areas." He said with a shrug.

"It's sort of imperative, although I can't count how many times I got lost when I first moved here." He grabbed a few loaves of bread an paid, throwing them in a bag he'd brought.

"See, this is why I'm glad I'm so good at navigating--this place can be twistier than Dracheheim, and the streets of my home town could get pretty convoluted."

John nodded "Well, what are you doing tomorrow?"

"Absolutely nothing," he said with a shrug.
"There's much for me to do these days." He chuckled.
"It's funny...I haven't had a regular sleep schedule in ages, and it feels strange."

John nodded "Understandable" he adjusted the bread bag "then tomorrow we go on a grand tour of Paris."

"Uh, how about just the stuff in walking distance?"
He'd really rather not wander everywhere, not in this place. Experience had bred a lot of caution in him.

John chuckled "Well you're in luck, because anything worth getting to happens to be just in our reach."

"Like what? Besides the opera house, of course."
It was, really, the only building of significance that he'd visited.

"There's a few interesting museums" he named off a few landmarks "and this, er, what's the word, magnifique cafe" John smiled and stopped in front of a fresh fruit stand.

"Ah, okay."
He really had no idea just how much he could visit, though--his funds were not limitless and not very much to begin with, and he knew you had to pay to get into museums.
