"If you'd been to Dracheheim, you wouldn't really want to compare London to it."
He fell quiet for a moment at John's question.
"I...I used to not care. At all. I can say I even hated it there. But for some reason, talking about it right now, I started to miss it. There were some things to miss, I guess."

"We always miss where we grew up, no matter how much we hate it. London gave me nothing but grief my whole, entire life. But I miss it."

"I dunno...maybe it's true for some, I guess. I'm still pissed-off at that place, though."

Leaning back in his chair slightly, John cracked his back, feeling once again older than he really was. Technically he was still young, almost 34 was still young.
But with a life lived so fully, its felt so much longer.
"That's quite understandable."

"I'd still be there if it weren't--"
He immediately broke off before he said more, not at all wanting to get into the incident that had forced him out of Dracheheim.
"...if I could."

John took this as a hint to change the subject "So, uh other than the three some and the stairs, what else do you got?"

"Not much change of scenery...they aren't a creative bunch, not really. Hell, there've been times where I suggested something that I thought was common, and then they say they don't know it."
He shrugged his shoulders.
"But then you get..."
And he related another incident involving the back of a limosine and some of the creative solutions to doing business in such a confined space.

John chuckled "I can only imagine."
He'd been in a few of these automobiles, they came in so many different shapes and sizes, he didn't much care for them really.
"These cars are too much work, the back of a wagon, a blanket and the stars is all I need. Just sitting below the night sky, crickets playing their nighttime tune, frogs croaking along..."

He shrugged.
"I can't really be picky, so, doesn't matter much to me."

John nodded, images popping in to his mind of lying next to-
God Dammit!
He shook his head "Yea I figured as much."

László tilted his head to one side, and said, with an innocent expression and a voice to match:
"What're you thinking?"

John looked up with wide eyes "I- nothing, why would you... it's nothing."

John blushed and looked down at his tea "I'm a man, so sue me."

László giggled.
"Oh, but that's not bad--so why say you were thinking of nothing?"
