Adrian smiled lightly and tilted his chin up.

"It's nothing," Adrian said dismissively, with a small handwave that seemed to indicate that it really did mean absolutely nothing to him whether she was there or not.

Dan finished most of the glass before looking up and wiping his upper lip with his napkin "Great year" he almost mumbled.
He was always at a lost of what to say when it came to Adrian, most of the time the man was working on something that would keep him talking for hours and Dan never had to talk much. But as it were, Adrian was growing more and more distant, Micaela's disappearance didn't help much of course.

Dan almost threw his head back before dropping his fork on his plate "Adrian, she's gone, she left us all, no reason, no rhyme. Just gone, obviously there was something more important than the people she loved here."
