Yuna had visited this particular place quite a few times while she was here--being one of the few such shops in the city, it was usually full from the various customers wanting to try something a bit different than Paris' usual fare.
Yuna waved at the guy at the counter as she led the way to her favorite table. Although it was crowded here, it still somehow managed to feel cozy.

The warmth (not necessarily temperature-wise) melted the fear and uneasiness in his chest and curious he looked around. He noticed a few people with similar features as Yuna and wondered if they were from her land, but she didn't seem to recognise them and he didn't ask.
"Do they have tea here?" he wondered out loud.

"Absolutely," she said with a smile. "Perhaps a bit different than the usual Parisian teas, but tea it is."
Apparently, she'd had an appetite after all, and was perusing the menu, trying to decide what ramen bowl she would order.

"What would you recommend?" he asked softly when the words hardly meant anything to him. ((this thread is making me hungry ))

((I looooove ramen.))
"Well, there's vegetable bowls, or perhaps you might like chicken or beef...? Or combination ones--I like the vegetable chicken, myself."

Yann just nodded. Anything sounded as good right now. Or as bad, depending on your point of view. "I shall have what you order..."

When the little serving girl came around to their table, Yuna ordered two vegetable chicken ramen bowls and two teas.
"I think, after today, I need something normal to concentrate on. Food is a good thing for that."

If the food was actually normal and not those weird white wormy things, he would definitely agree, but he just nodded. "I understand where you're coming from."

"Especially ramen--that's simple as food goes. I bet...I could even learn to make it."
It was mundane conversation, true, but she didn't think he really wanted to talk about what had recently passed. At least, not now.

"I don't even know what it's made of." He glanced around. "It reminds me a little of some Italian dish called Spaghetti. But that is usually eaten with tomatoes."

"Well...it's similar, in that ramen are noodles, but it's a different kind of noodle. These I wouldn't pour sauce on, but that's my own preference."
She'd encountered spaghetti, once, and it had been an interesting new dish to her.

"It smells... interesting," he said and he meant it. His stomach was even waking up because of all those new odors. "I can't wait."

She smiled.
"I know you'll like it! And they're pretty simple to cook, or so I've heard."

"Perhaps we can even learn to make it ourselves. That would be a nice project to take our mind off of... things..."

"Yes," she said, knowing that he still needed time.
"We can get a cookbook from the library."
