"Well, I suppose...although I'm a bit too worried about others to be a real vacation. But I'll try."

"You are doing a fine job, I think. You didn't seem too tensed yesterday when we met." His food had cooled down a little and he got the hang of the sticks, so he started eating and quite enjoyed it, actually.

"I do my best, to keep a calm face." She said, before taking a bite of ramen.
"Getting upset won't help me."

"Suppressing things doesn't help you either," he said in a tone that suggested experience.

"Not if you do it too much, no," she said, nodding.
"But, you can't always let it run wild, either."

"As always you have to find this subtle, elusive equilibrium..." He sighed. All in all, living was pretty hard. It was a miracle that so many people managed it.

"Yes," she said, with a matching sigh of her own.
"But, there are things that make it all worth it."

Yann couldn't think of anything that made his life worth the hassle, other than books, and he just nodded. If she said it, it must be true.

The rest of the meal went well, with little moments of chit-chat until the ramen had been eaten up. After pausing to dab at her lips with a napkin, she said,
"Unless you have other plans, we could always try the knitting thing after we leave here."

Yann nodded, happy he didn't have to come up with something, because he really had no idea. His thoughts were wide and far apart, like scattered cattle on a vast meadow. Most of them circled around Yuna and his admiration for her.

Yuna gave a little wave, flagging down the waittress so that they could receive the bill and pay it. Yuna had some francs in her possession, but had discovered that her foreign money seemed to work just as well as anything else. Once the waittress approached, Yuna pulled out the remaining francs along with several gil coins.

Would this woman never cease to amaze him? He held back his questions until the waitress had accepted the money and if Yuna had only paid with francs he would've protested (he was the gentleman in their little company, he was supposed to pay), but it was clear he couldn't wait to examine one of those coins up close.

Noticing the look, she said,
"Oh...I guess you've never seen a gil before?"

"Only on fish..." He grinned sheepishly. ((yeah, I know that joke doesn't really work because they speak French ))

((LOL))
Yuna laughed and pulled one of the coins from her purse and held it out to him.
"Here, see?"
The gil was a gold coin, about the size of a quarter, the designs on either side composed of symbols from the heiroglyphic language of Spira.
