Dan too struggled only to feel the crushing weight of the vines pushing in to his ribs, he wasn't prepared for just how out of shape he was.

Ivy tightened her hold on the heroes before her "Resistance is futile" her voice seeming to echo within itself.
"Just know, if I wanted you dead, I would have all ready crushed you."
Raising her hand in the air a vine wrapped itself around her arm and pulled her up to face Nite Owl "You both dress as one of mother natures creatures, yet you pollute her air and destroy her body. I am her warrior, her vengeance."
The vine then pulled her sideways to face Batman and she smiled "You want to know my plan, why I act the way I do, my motivation, yet you all ready know it. It's right in front of your eyes."

"And I'm sure you know of my motivation." He said, voice flat, monotone.
"There's more than one reason to fight you."
If they could keep her talking, it'd give him enough time cut the vine that held him.

"There is a way for humans and nature to co-exist" Dan protested, it was something he believed in "we did once-"

"-And then you perverted it! What she gave us, this glorious land, was destroyed through countless years of human pollution!" She growled, another vine jumping up through the roof of the opera house to grab on to their legs.
She turned her head back to Batman "With all the disgusting things you've fought, you still believe in humanity?"

"Not everyone is rotten. There are good people out there, ones worth saving. Like Caleb Oswald."

"Caleb...?" He didn't get it, obviously he wasn't exactly in the loop here.

"Oh you're still on about him, weak, pathetic boy, gave his life so that I, may live" she moaned as the vines started creeping up all along the opera house. What she said was true to a point, Caleb's mind was still alive, still bugging her in the back of her mind, she wasn't as strong as she thought mentally and couldn't completely kill him.
Yet.
"You know Bat-man, if Caleb had been stronger, he probably could have saved your girlfriend, and allll the people she hurt."
((I can see this happening, and I am freaking loving it.))

"Do not lay the blame at his feet," he hissed. "He had nothing to do with that."
Almost there...just a few moments more, and his hands would be free.

"He didn't?" She laughed "If his antidote had worked- of course he has no idea it didn't..."

"He is not to blame."
And with those words, his hands were free. Moving fast, he attacked the vine that was wrapped around Nite Owl.

Due to the fact that Ivy seemed to get so wrapped up in her speeches, it wasn't until he completely cut the vines that she felt the pain.
Screaming out she lunged for him.

He flipped through the air, in an attempt to make it so that he and Nite Owl were flanking her.

Dan jumped down after Batman cut him out and rounded around her other side, pulling his boomerang contraption from his belt he threw it at the vine holding ivy up.

Coordinating the attack with Nite Owl's, Batman threw one of his own weapons at the same vine.
