((Seriously.))
*Death turned sharply, a dumbfounded expression made all the worse for the sagging skin.*
"But you...you've been gone. Brandi came looking for you." *He was surprised obviously, but there seemed some sort of divine irony that War should show up like this.*

((Aww. Wait... how can you miss War? He's a... well several things not safe for work or kids.))
*War peeked over the rims of his shades and smirked at Demiselle.*
"Guess it's a case of better having a little hell inside than suffering the hell that would come from trying to keep us out."
*Winking to Death he reached up behind the reaper's ear to produce a cigarette. Cupping his one free hand around it small wisps of smoke slipped through his fingers as he puffed. Taking a long drag he released the smoke.*
"I am not now nor have I ever been on any monkey's beck and call. You're the only one guaranteed to visit every last one of them."

"I want nothing from you, or anyone," said Nadir curtly, with a short bow to indicate he meant to leave Alexander's presence.

Demiselle laughed softly.
"And I see it is a sorry case of hell indeed," she said mockingly.
"Did you managed to stay long enough to finish my children's education?" she said dryly.
((I swear, y'all, Demi is the worst mom in the whole WORLD))

"Of course." *Death dismissed it easily, as that wasn't what he'd meant about Brandi.*
"I just...I thought that you'd gotten bored with Paris. And now that you had your little...herd...I figured you'd gone into training mode. Elsewhere."

"I want nothing from you, or anyone," said Nadir curtly, with a short bow to indicate he meant to leave Alexander's presence. "Nadir. Wait, I beg you. I ask only to speak with you. I have heard troubling rumors." His grey eyes dimmed in grief and fear.

"The boy learned a bit. The girl..."
*He shrugged.*
"She seemed less interested."
*War raised an eyebrow at Death. He had gotten bored with Paris. And other things distracted him. It really wasn't his fault. A grenade's attention span is only so long after you pull the pin.*
"All work and no play and all that. Besides... this seemed like the place to be."

"My daughter was less interested because I was never online because she cannot abide your presence," Demiselle said sweetly.
She turned to Death.
"How was the rest of the Horsemen? Famine and Pestilence, and oh yes, Lucy?"
Her eyes darkened dangerously at the mention of the Princess.

*Death was silent for a moment as he tried to collect his thoughts and deal with the two conversations.*
"I haven't seen them." *He answered Demiselle, stuttering it out as the humans swirled around them.*
"I mean, the house has been pretty empty for a while. I just figured that they all had work elsewhere."

She nodded thoughtfully.
"Well, there is some luck then," she said cheerfully.

*The corner of War's lips rose in a crooked half smile as Demiselle mentioned the others. Especially with the rather interesting turn things had taken with a few of them.*
"Who knows... they might show up. When we gather we tend to... multiply."

((I don't know if we could pull in more than a Lucy, but it'd be a start. Poor humans...))
*Death rubbed his forehead, the skin bunching awkwardly.*
"Aw man..." *He didn't know if it would a good or bad thing if they did. The human population would probably disapprove, but then again...it'd been a while since they'd hung out and it would be kinda nice. Though he reminded himself he was here with his lady. He instinctively wrapped an arm around her and drew her closer.*
"Well, I suppose what will be will be." *He paused and looked down to Demiselle.*
"But I'm hoping to be able to enjoy the evening."
As best as I can. *But he couldn't shake that sinking feeling.*

She stared up at him.
"If the Horsemen show up, we're leaving," she said dryly.
"They cause far too much havoc for me to properly be able to enjoy this party."

*War's grin dropped as his eyebrow raised. He gave Demiselle a once over ((why does that not sound right as "an once over")) and turned to Death. He didn't say a word but looked at his fellow Horsemen expectantly.*

Aw crap.
*Why did he always end up by the balls? He was suddenly ready to leave, whether the other Horsemen arrived or not. Leave and kill something in a manly way. That's it.
He sighed.*
"Uh well...I don't know how likely it is. I mean, there's hardly enough found here to even cause a blip on famine's radar." *He joked weakly.*
Aw crap.
