"What? Who? Where?"
Vianne followed her husband's gaze and froze, staring helplessly at her son.
My little boy...oh, Tony, my baby.
"...do you think he'll mind?" she whispered to Percy, her hand straying to touch the mark upon her neck, to hide it.

She smiled and extended a hand for him to lead her to the floor.
"I think I can handle that."

Percy looked calmly at his wife.
"My darling, we're Blakeneys. Considering the enormous adventures our family is known to have, I say Tony will take this quite well, considering."
He extended his hand to his wife.
"Will you come and greet our son, dearest?"

"Delectable," he murmured, surreptitiously giving her bottom a squeeze while maintaining an angelic expression as his hand returned to where it had rested in the small of her back.

She turned slightly pink and slapped his arm. However, her attempt at a stern look just broke into a smile.
"What am I going to do with you?"

Violetta happened to catch a glimpse of her brother, and shook her head when she saw where he was standing. Even at a gathering like this, Zachaire still had to play the anti-social one. Skirting around a cluster of socialites who were telling rather bawdy jokes, Violetta made her way over to where her twin was, preparing to talk him out of sitting on the sidelines and come on out to join the rest of the party. On the way, she, too, caught a glimpse of the couple--and like her brother, felt that same moment of kinship. Something about them reminded her of.. .She started to move closer, to see them better without other people obstructing her view, when the two approached another couple. Sensing something emotional, but not wanting to lose sight of these people who seemed so eerily familiar, Violetta hovered nearby, indecisive.

Vianne took her husband's hand and laughed outright as her eyes strayed back to Tony.
"...never doubt he's your son, Percy."

"Anything you like," he said gamely.
His grin faltered a moment later as he glimpsed two faces moving nearer in the crowd.
"What on...earth...?"

"Tony, are those your..." She had never met her parents-in-law, but there were plenty of portraits, and the likenesses were unmistakable.

Smiling in return as he took her hand, he led her out onto the dance floor. "I am happy to oblige." Being a dancer, it was fairly easy for her to pick up the steps, even though she didn't know the dance. "It's quite a turnout you've attracted; I don't think I've seen this many of society's most important families in one place since... well, ever." She didn't try to keep up with things, but when one grew up in a world, one learned the names and the faces.

Percy gave his wife a knowing wink and a rather shocking leer, before turning to look back at his son.
He covered the last few feet that stood between them and paused, Vianne on his arm. He looked quietly at the boy who had become a man.
"My God, you look so much like your mother," he said quietly.

Henry easily moved into the dance, dancing having been one of the many mandatory things that he'd been taught as a young man. It helped that he was also quite athletic and good at it. "I'm actually a bit surprised, myself. Though also delighted, considering some of the older names that have put in an appearance. Some of them I've heard haven't shown in years."

Tony was frantically doing math in his head, which gave him a rather unfortunate pinched expression.
"I...suppose...Maman--" Tony paused to give his mother a kiss on the cheek, smiling slightly, though he still looked very much bewildered.
"We'd heard you were in the Orient, or somewhere..."
He ran a hand through his hair distractedly, making it stand on end in unrefined wodges and clumps and spikes.
"Uh, forgive me, I don't believe you've met...my wife, Ellie--Ellen--Ellie Blakeney. Formerly de Winter." For all he'd been introducing his wife for years, he'd never imagined quite these circumstances in presenting her to his parents.
"...you look...extremely well," he said slowly, glancing between his father and his mother.

"The last time I came close to meeting the Blakeneys was when they came to Grandmama's wedding to Grandfather, and de Chagnys... well, they're practically royalty." She remembered who she was talking to. "Though not quite, of course."
