Adrian abruptly reached out with his right hand and batted the cup away. Some of the hot tea spilled on his own leg, while the cup itself shattered on the floor.

"...spasm," said Adrian. "The hand is malfunctioning again- I'm sorry-"
The pain in his leg grew from the initial dull pressure to a full-on burn as the hot tea soaked through his trousers. He paid it no mind, as he was too busy nearly gasping for breath and then grabbing Adrien again.
Damn, damn, damn, damn.

Adrian ignored him, muttering something to the effect of "I'll manage," and hugged him tighter, petting his hair with a shocked desperation.

"Adrien-"
He pulled back enough to look at him, and didn't know whether he was going to laugh or cry.

"Pants off!"
He was too worried about Adrian being burned to notice.

"Who's nursing whom here?" he asked, forcing a wry smile as he stood to relent and take care of it.
Adrien was alive. This would probably just turn into a whole other issue, but he was alive, and...
"God, but I love you."

"Is it a bad burn?" asked Adrien anxiously, seeming to have forgotten that he was sick in the meantime. As he leaned over the floor slightly to peer at Adrian's thigh, he noticed the broken cup on the floor and said, "Was it good china?", even more anxiously.

"Don't worry about either of them. I'm just glad that... never mind."

"Well, you'd better get another pair," said Adrien, rather ironically considering his own state, which had not changed since what they'd done the previous day.

He pulled on a robe instead. The burn was now starting to ache sharply.

There were a few tense moments of silence.
"Are you sure everything is okay?" he asked softly. "You don't seem happy."
