He ruffled the back of Adrien's hair to show his acceptance and began rocking him back and forth a tiny bit.

As well as he could, Adrien crumpled up his body into a tiny ball, fully supported by Adrian and with almost no strength of its own, and sobbed pathetically.

It was a good thing he'd taken off his jacket. Adrien's mascara was ruining his shirt.

There was no reply, or at least nothing verbal. The sobbing didn't lessen. But the boys hands weakly tried to close on Adrian's shirt at the waist.

He pulled back, hands scrabbling on the floor, so that he was sort of doing a push up over Adrian's lap as he looked at him, trying to keep himself from touching Adrian, even though the necklaces were falling onto his thighs.

He lifted one hand to rub at his tear-streaked eyes, and the remaining arm, shaky and unreliable, shortly buckled, sending him tumbling straight into Adrian's lap. Gravity was unforgiving.
