Fenris had been wandering Paris a bit aimlessly. While now, thanks to his own ingenuity, he knew how to read, he was still limited in what he could or couldn't do thanks to being a dog (albeit a highly intelligent one). He still didn't know if he'd ever change form again into a human, and though he'd tried to several times, nothing had come of it. Ah, well.
Hmm, this place was different. He sniffed at the door, then wandered around to the back, hopping the fence and then proceeding to wander the back yard. This was interesting--so many different smells, some older than others, and all coming and going quite a bit.

The backyard was coming along now, Mr. Dawson was doing a beautiful job on it, it wasn't finished by a long shot, but there was trees now, and grass, so Marie was taking advantage of the first sunny day in a while.
Hopping out with her book bag under her she wandered over to the willow they had brought in on the back of a big wagon. It was still a baby, but it was growing quickly, plopping down she opened up her book and began to read. It was Shakespeare sure, but it was interesting, not like Romeo and Juliet, which bored Marie to tears.

Fenris paused where he was behind some bushes, seeing Marie sit by the tree. He was technically trespassing, and after a few run-ins with people had learned that most folks weren't too happy when they found a strange dog hanging around their yard. He sat down where he was, thinking on what the best way to sneak back out again should be.

Although she was fully engrossed in A Midsummer Nights Dream, she heard a rustling in the bushes, pretending it was the wind, only to realize, the wind wasn't blowing hard enough to rustle the bushes.
Slamming the book shut, she looked toward the bushes.
"Is someone there?"

Uh-oh.
He'd taken too long to think it over. Well...she didn't seem like she was the type to throw things at him, but you could never tell. Slowly, he poked his head around the side of the bush.
"Urf."

"Oh" she smiled "oh it's a puppy!" Moving up to her knee's she beckoned him to come toward her "Come on over love, come on."

I don't look that young still, do I?
Blast, if only he could talk. Well, at least she was friendly.
He walked the rest of the way out from behind the bush, approaching slowly until he was only a little ways away from her. He'd also learned that you didn't just run straight up to someone if you were a strange quadruped with sharp teeth.

"Oh come on love, I promise I ain't mean" her smile was terribly reassuring as she clicked her tongue toward him. "No reason ta be afraid of lil' ol me."

Ah, good.
He crossed the remaining distance and sat down near, reaching out to sniff at her hand.

Allowing him to sniff her, in case he did get scared, she smiled "You are a pretty boy aren't you?"

Haha, I dunno about that.
Although he really hadn't developed a standard of beauty, not yet, he didn't think much of his own appearance beyond "black-and-white dog with blue-green eyes".
He wagged his tail.

Taking the wag of the tail as a sign to pet him, she rubbed his nose and ears "Are you hungry?"

Grinning she grabbed her bag and pulled out a sandwich "I made a couple in case I was gonna be out 'ere for a while, I imagine you need em more than me" she offered the sandwich to him.

He sniffed at the sandwich a moment, then grabbed it when he smelled roast beef.
