"I, er, woke up last week and looked a decade younger." *She said, turning pink (under the flour).* "Something to do with Alexei or something. But the, um, shop. Yes. It's doing very well; I finally got around to opening one like I said I would..."

He might not have said much, but those three words were filled with complete understanding. Having lived in the same apartment, he'd been witness to what was happening to the other occupents. Namely, Eponine.

He laughed with her.
"Now if only my daughter had the same initiative with Aimee. But Treszka seems content to either mope on the Eiffel Tower or spend her days wandering the city."
He didn't know, of course, about Derek.
