“Oh!”
A gust of wind and an unfortunate jostle coincided to send her skirts plastered against her legs (not that there was too much skirt to be batted about like that, she wasn't in a dowdy mood if she could help it) and the stylish new bit of millinery toppling from her head. To be snatched up by the offending party, and...
Rude. The height of it. Beppo clamped a hand down on her hair protectively, as if expecting that to fly off as well and leave her bald-headed. Still, shifting gears from indignance to embarrassment at the realization that the offender was a pretty young... person. Now in possession of a personal article of... well, damn. Another rattling switch-over into bashful and flustered. She had to bite back the initial urge to rattle off some rather scorching Italian in criticism of this young wit's comedic sensibilities. But the hat did rather suit her, she had to admit. Her? Him? Her? A redhead. A tomboy, in either case. And cute, too.
“Watch where you're walking, clod!” She tried to inject enough affection into her tone as to not come across as abrasive, but couldn't quite manage. A little more minxish, “It suits you fine,” before she took a rather feeble swipe at it. “But it's better on me.”

Rosalind would not have even intended to keep the hat away from her, and made no move to dart away at the other person's swinging their hand at her head. A girl, she supposed, although defining the gender about as much as dear ole Alex did.
"Is it, now?" she piped up, thrusting her hands back into her pockets with a wink. "Don it, then, lassie, and show me, and I shall watch where I am walking most keenly."

**NEW NIGHT**
Parisian nights weren't so bad when you could see them from this perspective. His bedtime was usually at midnight, now, and if he was out and about before then it was usually in the nicer, quieter areas of the city. Nothing but him and the twinkling stars above, and the street lamps below. The moon was full and her zenith as he walked along, whistling. He really didn't mind being outside, and thanks to the recent reconciliation with John, he was in a good mood.

For once in a long while, Louis had happened to be out, sadly, looking to feed.
But no one had come along in such a while, he'd almost given up.
But he heard someone coming, when he turned the corner, he was both excited and a bit let down.
"Laszlo."

He jumped a little at the man's sudden appearance, but calmed when he saw who it was.
"Oh, Louis!"
It had been...how long?
"I haven't seen you in months."

"I've been, horribly per-occupied" he smiled and extended his arms "you look wonderful."

"Well, better than when we last talked." He said, giving a little nervous-sounding laugh.
Last time having been their little relationship talk. László had been rather upset then.
"How are you?"

"I'm, free" he smiled "well not of this horrid curse, but free as a man."

"Well, that's great! And I..."
He smiled, almost shyly.
"He said he loved me."

"John yes?" He smiled "That's wonderful, Laszlo, truly."

He happily bobbed his head yes.
"Yeah." He gave a little laugh.
"I'm so happy right now."

His smiled widened, showing off his teeth.
If it were any other vampire, this might have been a warning, but for Louis, it was just a smile.
"We should celebrate" he replied.

"I have no idea" he laughed "I haven't had much cause for celebration these past few years, it's hard for me to say how one would go about doing such a thing."

"Me, neither."
He looked thoughtful for a moment.
"Well...some people drink to it..." He scrunched up his face at his own words.
"...um. Nevermind that. Or they hang out with friends...which we're doing already. They eat dinner together, but, uh...well."
