She sat first, biting her lip a little and a tad distracted as the lights dimmed and the overture began. Part of her wished that she'd just chased him away, but another part was glad of the company.

Zachaire was silent and still in his seat next to her, not really paying attention to the opera, to his surprise. He realized how uncharacteristic all of his recent behavior was, and while in the past he would have berated himself for it, now he found that he was more bemused than anything else.
That the reason was lovely and intriguing made it all the better.

Once the opera had ended, Treszka immediately got to her feet.
"Forgive me for rushing off, but I have to be elsewhere and it's a distance from here..."
What a lame excuse.

"Of course," he said, recognizing the ruse but letting it pass.
With as reluctant as she had been to meet him again, he did not want to push his luck.

Well, if he saw through it, then he was being polite about it. But then...he was polite about a lot of things.
"Thank you for...joining me. I look for to once again having that scarf in my possession."
She paused, then gave him a small smile.
"Well, and speaking to you again."

He gave a little bow, the angle hiding the smile that very briefly crossed his features.
"I look forward to speaking again, madamoiselle. Farewell."

"Farewell, Monsieur de Chagny."
Having nothing else to say, she left the balcony, waiting only until she was in the shadow of the stairwell to teleport away to her cottage. She'd change into more mobile, modern clothes, and then hang out somewhere and think some more on this situation.

Zachaire took a similar route, in that he headed straight for home first. Unlike Treszka, however, he didn't really have a "hang-out spot", and instead spent the rest of the evening in the study, looking through some of the Estate's files. It was, as always, hard to concentrate .
