*Michael settled into his cabin, which Micaela had gracefully paid for, not hearing of him doing it. It wasn't fabulous, as this wasn't a liner, but it was a nice room. He laid down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling.*

*Scarlett, on the other hand, was sitting outside on the deck of the boat, wrapped up in an oversized jacket with her long hair bound up under a cap.*

*A telegram arrived for Michael.*

*It was really too cold- she should have worn a thicker jacket. She burrowed down into her thin one even more, hoping they'd arrive soon.*

*Michael decided to go above deck and look at the sky. Stars were always clearer at sea. He passed the lump, assuming it was a crewman taking a quick break.*
"Too bad we have a week of this left." *He muttered to himself, wrapping his thick woolen coat tighter around him.*

*A gust of wind swept the cap off Scarlett's hair, sending the hat flying into Michael's face and letting her hair come loose. She jumped up to go after it instinctively, her face coming into the light.*

*He caught the cap and turned around to give if back to the owner, and froze.*
"Sc... wh... I... Scarlett Booth, what the hell are you doing on a boat??" *He asked incredulously.*

*She stepped back slightly when she recognized him, biting her lip. Her face was incredibly pale and she was shivering- she'd obviously been sitting out here for a while.* G-g-g-going t-to I-I-Ireland, of c-course.

*He stared at her for a second before shrugging his coat off and wrapping it around her, then following it with his arms.*
"Christ, how could you be so stupid, Scarlett, huh?" *He asked, kissing her hair.*

*He sighed.*
"Come on... let's get you to my room before someone realizes you don't have a ticket, or you freeze where you're standin'." *He kept one arm around her shoulders as he took her there, where he motioned for her to sit down. It was much warmer below deck, especially since they were above the boiler room.*
"Now why in God's name would you consider me goin' to visit my family an adventure?" *He asked, still standing.*

I-I don't know, i-it m-made sense at th-the t-time. *She looked like a drowned kitten cold little puppy, her eyes huge as she shivered under the coats.* I w-was w-w-worried.

"Well so was your aunt! She had to track down which ship I was on and telegram me! Nobody's known where you've been, I thought something had happened!"

*He went and sat down beside her, taking her freezing little hand in his own big, warm one.*
"I was scared."
