This was going to be a chore. He could tell.
Adrian tried to remember if any of the other young men he'd brought home over the last twenty-five years or so had been this clingy, and then he realized that he hadn't brought any others home. This was an entirely new experience.

Adrien smiled back, sort of absent-mindedly, crossing his legs. The silk stockings slid against the inside of his pants effortlessly; he liked the way it felt.
"Adrian," he asked after a moment, "how d'you do your hair?"

"That thing you do with your hair," he said, making the pushed-back gesture at his own forehead. "How do you get it like that?"

"Oh, that."
He chuckled, suddenly in faux-modest Appeal to the Interviewer mode, and demonstrated.

Adrien gazed this intently, watching his reflection in the mirror, and absent-mindedly, wholly unconsciously, copied his movements, not quite seriously as though going to mimic him now, but so that his hand would remember the motions for when he did it afterwards.

He stopped his hand automatically, but did not realize he'd been doing something. It stayed in his hair even as he asked, "Do what?"
