Adrien stopped rummaging and straightened when he found it, going into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

Left alone for a moment, Adrian returned to studying his hand.
The skin along the edge of the implant was still warm, and pinker than usual. When he pressed it, it was slightly tender.
God damn it. Of all the times for his body to start failing him...

When he was done, he spit out the toothpaste, bent under the sink to get a mouthful of water to rinse his mouth out, and rinsed his toothbrush. After a moment of agonizing thought, he sneaked the toothbrush into Adrian's toothbrush holder, and hoped Adrian didn't notice.
Then he turned and ran out to Adrian, pouncing on him with a whoop of light-hearted laughter.
"Kiss me now?"

This was a relief, seeing Adrien already smiling and laughing again. Rather than respond, he tilted the boy back and kissed him full on the lips.

His arms wrapped around Adrian's throat swiftly and tightly, not to pull him romantically closer but to keep himself from falling back onto the floor, his heartbeat shooting up.
When their lips parted, his expression was one of amazement at the thrill and then he laughed again, leaning forward for another kiss.

"The black coat?" asked Adrien tenderly, bopping him on the tip of the nose with his fingertip, and then on the lip, and then on the chin, as he slid carefully out of his lap to standing.

He gave him his tenderest smile and went to get his coat, a ratty-ish, though in a glamorously worn fashion, green peacoat. He had a bit of a coat collection going on.
