Lillith appeared out of an abyss of smoke that suddenly appeared in the foyer of Castle von Krolock.
Stretching her neck she inhaled deeply, she loved old castles, it was one, of, of course many, guilty pleasures. Walking calmly toward where she knew Johannes to be, a news paper appeared in her hand.
He was marrying the girl he had turned.
Marrying.
That wasn't what she created his kind for in the slightest.

Marrying.
It wouldn't be long now until Johannes would make Belle his wife, a very pleasant thought indeed. It warmed his unbeating heart and granted him joy he hadn't known since his transformation.
Indeed, few of the villagers from Transylvania would recognize the man who was now so cheerfully testing fabrics for his wedding clothes as the fearsome Count von Krolock.
Well, they would, between the fangs, cape, hair, eyes and such it would be rather hard not to, but in behavior the vampire was something quite different now from the brooding dark figure he'd been.
Suddenly he stiffened, feeling the hairs at the back of his neck stand on end.
It was an ancient feeling, older than the count himself was, and he swept around. His cloak swished in a grand manner and he quelled the urge to bow. He would no longer bow to one as dark as... her.
"Lillith."

If he had been a mortal man, he would have passed out simply from what she was wearing, a high collard dress with a large v drop neck line that stopped right above her pelvis. It was black of course, and clung to her rather perfect body, as if it would fall off at any moment.
"Johannes my love, do you not bow before your mother?" She smiled, a terrible, awful smile.

As Krolock wasn't a mortal man, all Lilith's outfit got was a brief moment of Krolock Palmfacing™.
"While I cannot lay claim to being the most fortunate of men when it comes to the parental department, I am by no means unfortunate enough to claim any relation to you," was his icy reply, even though parts of him screamed that it was a lie.
"And I most certainly am not your love." This, even in the darkest part of Johannes' being, was true. He belonged to Belle and none other.
"What is it you want?" The indifference was carefully feigned, schooled by years and years of aristocracy. Still, the count privately wondered... the Queen wasn't one who'd just drop by for blood and cookies.

His response upset Lilith, if she wanted to and she was sure he knew it, she could poof him out of existence. But she collected herself and her smile returned "Johannes, if I didn't exist, you wouldn't, so in turn you are all my babies, and I love you all."
She flipped her right hand and a long cigarette appeared along with a gold plated holder, it was all ready light.
"I hear you are marrying."

Much as he resented being referred to as 'baby' by anyone, Johannes decided not to push his luck any further.
"I am indeed..." Why was she talking of his marriage? Surely she hadn't expected some kind of invitation?

"Disgusting" she blew out a smoke ring "in the millennium in which I've lived, do you know many of my babies have married?" Her eyes grew dark "None, now their children, you and your brothers and sisters, are another story. Marriage is a sacred act Johannes, one given to man by the lord himself. I'm not sure if you realized, but he's not a big fan of vampires or demons."

"God is long dead," Johannes snapped, his anger rising at Lilith's attitude. How dare she speak about his union to Belle in such a manner?!
Belle...
The very thought of his beloved calmed Johannes and his vampiric visage softened, fangs retreating and upper lip lowering, the blaze in his eyes turning to mere embers. Before long, the count looked passably human once again.
"I will marry Belle," his voice was firm, but by no means a demonic snarl. A mocking smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"See it as a premiere, if you wish."

"You only wish he was my dear" she grinned "oh but I've seen him, at lately that is, although, he wasn't too happy to see me." She flipped her hand back "But that's unimportant."

"If you could now take your leave, I have a wedding to organize." Krolock gestured at the fabrics he was deciding on.
Stupid 'queen'... gave both royalty and vampires a bad name.

Lilith reached forward and grabbed his shoulder, her hand terribly hot "I truly hope that you haven't forgotten where you come from or what you are."

"I am count Johannes von Krolock, father, widower and betrothed." The count's voice was like ice, as cold as Lilith's touch was hot.
"This is who and what I am, I came from darkness and am on the treshold of stepping into the light."

"You come from me my love" she whispered "you are a vampire, a demon of the night. You're wish for light, I'm afraid, will be always cut short."
And with that her hand caught fire and enveloped her whole body, leaving ash below were she once stood.

The count shook his head, upper lip slightly lifted in a half snarl.
She was wrong, for he already had light... and that light was Belle.

"Johannes?"
Belle had thought she'd heard a female voice earlier, and hurried in in confusion.
"Johannes, was someone here?"
