Ed light another cigarette and laughed, he was hard at work on his third script of the month. He was almost amazed at how quickly things were coming to him.
He'd been able to get his hands on some movie equipment, at least, some more, since the rest of his stuff had been caught in a fire. Which was unfortunate, but it's all right.
Things always turned out fine in the end.

Christine was still a bit unused to living in the same home as a man, but if everyone else in Paris was going to behave like a libertine she supposed she had nothing to be ashamed of. She and Ed hadn't even gone beyond a kiss (though she often thought it would be nice to step a bit farther from decency.)
In the meantime, she was busy unpacking her things.

"Oh my! I see you're going for realism these days- one certainly can't open the newspaper without hearing about that sort of thing."

Ed grinned "Oh yes, it's going to open up with big letters that say 'BASED ON A TRUE STORY' although there's only rumors and such, but it'll scare the bajebus out of people!"

Christine nodded. It wouldn't really be lying if it said "based on" something- he could get the idea from news and take off from there.
"Your writing always impresses me. I could never come up with so many ideas."

"Thanks!" he stretched his fingers and began to type again "Well I mean vampires being real and all that, and meeting those very nice ones" he was rambling and typing at the same time "what a hoot, this ones going to be good" he pointed to a stack next to his typewriter "you can read some if you'd like."
