*It was back to London for Benjamin Barker. Home beckoned, and he would answer--Hallie, the neighbor with whom he'd almost had something, had disappeared, and he was getting sick of getting dirty looks when he tried to order his morning coffee at the cafe down the street.*
*The trip to Calais was an easy one, as was the channel passing. He smiled as he walked down onto the docks, breathing in. He would seek out lodgings and start up his shop, right around Fleet Street. Yes, Fleet Street sounded good.*
*Just as he was turning onto the street in question, he walked right into someone. Both fell, and when he looked up he was looking into the face of a very pretty girl.*
"M-miss, I'm so s-sorry, here, let me help you--"
*He tried to stand, but slipped in the grimy street. He laughed nervously and managed to stand this time. He offered her a hand, which she took, blushing and giggling softly.*
"Benjamin Barker."
*She smiled.* "Lucy."
"A pleasure, miss. Would you happen to know of any lodgings to be had--"
"Well there are some rooms above the pie shop..."
"Perfect."
