((If Frankenstein is renting rooms here, so can a Dracula.))
She would never love him. Not in any of his guises- as gentle seducer, as depraved ravisher, not even as her sire. If he had been his original Incarnation (the one who had first attacked her) he wouldn't have cared, and would have kept her against her will and waited for Stockholm Syndrome to set in.
But he was not that man. He could be cruel, and what he had done to Irene was hardly any better than what the others had done to her, but he would not pursue a lost cause, nor would it do to have a vampire spawn living in rebellion against him.
That night, he summoned her to his room for the last time.

She had fought with all her might, but that wasn't much these days. None of her protests would have made any difference, nor had the men who helped her gained anything but misery from their efforts. Perhaps if she went quietly, it wouldn't be so bad.
But as her body acted of it's own accord and walk to the castle, her instincts kicked in. Even if it was foolish to fight, she would do it- Dracula might destroy her, but he would never win her submission.
"You never give up, do you?" she snarled.

"I wish you were right, my love. But I do."
He stepped towards her, and for a moment he wanted to change his mind. She could learn to be happy with him- hadn't all his brides protested at first? But this woman had been through nearly everything, had even been locked in his other incarnation's castle, and had still not broken. She could not be happy with him, and if she despised him so, he could not be happy with her.
He reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair from her face.
"You gain your freedom tonight. I suppose you've earned it."

"Are you going to kill me?"

"Would you care anymore if I did?"
He kissed her on the side of her neck, and she did not bother to pull away from him.
"You will find freedom from your sorrows. Freedom from the memories and nightmares."

"But Mr. Holmes...I can't undo what his life has become!"

"He will know you are safe. I will make sure of it."
He thought for a moment that if he could not have Irene, at least Holmes no longer would, either. The thought gave him a certain savage joy.
"Don't cry, my pet. It will all be over soon."
With that, he bit into her neck for the second time, draining the bit of his blood that he had put into her.

Irene cried out at the pain and found herself growing weak. She could feel the blood of a vampire being pulled out of her, but she felt more of her life leave with it...
"Tell him I love him" she managed to whisper before passing out.
**A FEW HOURS LATER**
Irene Adler awoke to find herself in a rather strange place. Rubbing the back of her head, she tried to remember the last thing that had happened to her...
The opera! That was it! After she'd said goodbye to Godfry Norton, she'd planned to visit the Paris Opera!
Instead, she was in a room with very attractive aristocrat. Funny how often that happened to an actress!
"I do hope you at least paid for my drinks" she said with a smile.

She had no memory of her life after coming to Paris, that much he was sure of. She'd be the same woman she was before coming- a bit flighty, a few criminal tendencies, but at least without true pain.
He thought for a moment that he might now seduce her in earnest- she'd have no bad associations to make, and might even agree to an immortal life. But instead, he found himself handing her a coat.
"I promise you, Mademoiselle, nothing improper took place. Would you like me to call a carriage?"

"Don't bother- I'll find my way to the train station on my own. Paris doesn't seem quite as interesting as I thought it might be."
With a smile, Irene Adler- actress, singer and blackmailer- set off for her old life.

He watched her leave, then vanished into the shadows, not to be seen in again in France for a very long time.
