*bursts into the auditorium from the dormitories, running along the darkened top aisle in the balcony*
Now I've done it! I can't believe I completely lost it in there! Now she's going to think I'm weird and everyone else will too and my life is completely ruined!
*slows down, running out of breath, and collapses into a seat toward the very end, curling into a ball so as not to be seen by anyone who might be on the stage*
They can never, ever know!

*Anneke came running into the auditorium, thinking she had seen a flash of Bonnie-Marie's skirts disappearing around the corner of the door into here. All was silent and empty-seeming...* People don't disappear into thin air, do they? *she wondered* "Bonnie--Bonnie-Marie...are you in here?" *she called out softly in her ringing tones. The accoustics were wonderful in here.*

Should I answer? If she finds me before I answer her, she'll think I was ignoring her and she won't like me because I'm so rude...
Yes...yes, I'm over here.

*Anneke walks over at an easy pace, not wanting to disturb Bonnie any more than was necessary.* "Are you alright?" *She reaches out and places a friendly hand on Bonnie's shoulder.* "I'm here if you need to talk to a friend--but if you don't want to tell me, that's fine too--I won't think the less of you." *Behind Anneke's brash and bold exterior was a kind heart with endless compassion--that's why animals were so attracted to her. In the orphanage she had often been found ministering to stray cats, dogs, and bunnies.*

Oh, thank you! *impulsively throws her arms around the other girl* I really would rather not talk about it, but now I feel so much better that it doesn't really matter! *jumps up, completely happy again*
Now, weren't we talking about your last name? It's Daae, right?

*Anneke grinned to see Bonnie restored to relatively cheerful spirits.* "Yes, yes it is--!"

Are you related to Christine Daae, then? My cousin just married her!

*Anneke gaped slightly.* "Well, yes--that is, Christine is my older sister! Were you at her wedding? Did we meet previously?"

Unfortunately I've never met Christine, only heard of her from Raoul. *eyes darken to the color of molasses* I've not been allowed to go out much.
*eyes brighten again, signalling the end of the mood swing* But hey! If my cousin is married to your sister, that makes us like...cousin-in-laws! Or something! How wonderful!

*Anneke grinned helplessly.* "That's wonderful! I've never had a family before! Well, not that I can really recall all that well anyhow! But this is so...so...NEAT! I feel like I could...burst into song to express myself!" *Anneke began to sing loudly, with a clear operatic soprano like nothing ever heard before--better even than her elder sister's voice had been after having been coached by some mysterious tutor Christine wouldn't talk to Anneke about. Here was a voice purer than any angels. This was the voice of a goddess. A goddess of music.* "Heart, don't fail me now! Courage, don't desert me! Don't turn back now that we're here..." *Anneke held the note and closed her eyes for a moment, lifting her clasped hands to press against the smooth skin above her pert young breasts, feeling her heartbeat flutter and her breaths shudder for only a moment before the sails of her lung tissue filled with wind and let her soar onto the next stanza.* "People always say Life is full of choices..." *Anneke began to glide, almost unthinkingly, towards the great stage, her eyes still closed.* "No one ever mentions..." *She paused and her eyes opened for a moment and she turned back to glance at Bonnie-Marie, her alluring gray-green eyes full of unanswered questions.* "...fear?" *She flashed her now-trademark grin and turned back to the stage, the light in her eyes undimmed and her spirit undaunted by uncertainty as the song swelled around her.* "Or how a road can seem so long..." *Anneke began to mount the steps to the empty stage slowly as the song continued and she was beckoned inexorably to her birthright on the stage at the Opera Populaire.* "How the world can seem so vast..." *Anneke peered into the auditorium from the stage, awed at the size and grandeur, unable to imagine such a place when it was full of people, so impressive it was, even when it was empty but for herself and Bonnie. Anneke trembled inwardly, but steeled herself and threw a defiant smile to the glittering chandelier.* "Courage see me through..." *She placed her hands back on her heartbeat.* "Heart I'm trusting you On this journey..." *Anneke threw out her arms and began to twirl, ((in her pants and fluffy white shirt and long overcoat still, she does look kinda like Anastasia, lolz!)) "...to the paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast!" *Anneke began to move gracefully around the stage, acting without any props as the song spoke of seeking one's destiny. She made up her own blocking, which fit perfectly, her eyes transmitting her every emotion as she acted out her own life story, her own hopes, her own dreams, her own fears.* "Somewhere down this road..." *She stretched a hand out towards the gloom of the darkened cavern of plush red velvet seats.* "I know someone's waiting..." *Anneke glanced involuntarily at the chandelier, having a sudden foreboding feeling...* "Years of dreams just can't be wrong..." *She rubbed her arms as she recalled the years in the cruel orphan asylum, forgotten by the world and crying silently herself to sleep every night until she had grown strong. She never cried now. Never.* "Arms will open wide..." *Anneke flung her arms wide and grinned into the darkness, entirely caught up in her own song.* "I'll be safe and wanted..." *Her voice rang with hope and dreams.* "Fin'lly home where I belong..." *She turned in a circle, looking at all the opera house.* "Well, starting here, my life begins..." *Anneke spun and twirled gracefully around the stage once more, surprisingly feminine in her movements despite heavy boots and her manly attire that clung to her lush, developing figure.* "Starting now, I'm learning faaaaaast!" *Anneke punched the air. ((Think female Enjrolas. Heehee. ;D))* "Courage see me through..." *She clutched at her heaving breasts again, her eyes falling closed as the almost orgasmic power of the Disney song trapped her in its spell.* "Heart I'm trusting you... On this journey...to the paaaaast..." *This time she held the note even longer than before. Her powers of breath control were disciplined and almost superhuman.* "Heart don't fail me now! Courage don't desert me!" *Anneke paused and thought back to the times she could hardly recall...in a house by the sea. The day she had taken her sister's red scarf to play with and accidentally let it get blown into the sea...a little boy...Anneke had been too young to understand the pivotal role she had played then. Her thoughts drifted back to the present and she continued singing in a softly puzzled tone.* "Home, Love, Family..." *Anneke shook her head, unsure.* "There was once a time... I must have had them too..." *Her voice soared on, strengthening.* "Home, Love, Family I will never be complete Until I find you..." *Anneke took a dance break and twirled around the stage in joyous abandon as the music in her mind took an orchestral bit before she went on. She stopped and began to tiptoe along the stage, grinning like she was on an invisible tightrope.* "One step at a time..." *She shaded her eyes and stared into the auditorium again.* "One hope, then another..." *Anneke's grin kept getting wider until her face might split.* "Who knows where this road may gooooo?" *She thought of her sister and all the years she'd been told to wait--they'd take her to the Opera someday...* "Back to who I was On to find my future," *She stroked her breasts almost sensually in her sexy childish yet womanly ignorance.* "Things my heart still needs to know!" *She threw in all the I'm-a-star-on-Broadway dance moves and poses she knew of.* "Yes, let this be a sign!" *Jazz hands!* "Let this road be mine!" *Spirit fingers!* "Let it lead me to my paaaaaaast!" *Anneke now had no doubt that she had all the courage in the world. Nothing like a rousing song to get you in the mood to take on some inner demons.* "Courage see me through! Heart I'm trusting you!" *She spread her arms wide.* "To bring me hooooooooooooooooome..." *And began to twirl.* "At last!" *A lot.* "At last!" *She trailed off for a moment and stilled, and opened her eyes slowly, staring into the distance that wasn't there before continuing in a poignant voice and tone that could bring tears to people's eyes even as warm joyful tears began to roll down Anneke's face.* "Courage see me through! Heart I'm trusting..." *She held the last note with all the purity in her precious soul.* "Yoooooooooooooooooou!" *Anneke fell silent, staring dreamily up at the chandelier, her green-gray orbs swimming with tears like a new moon on the tropical ocean.*

*sobs openly with all the emotional purity of a newborn baby*
Anneke, that was...that was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed in my life! You have such a voice! I would be consumed by jealousy if such an emotion wasn't beyond me because it's mean and pointless and I'm all sweetness and light!
*runs onto the stage, slender arms outstretched, chocolate hair flowing, breasts-a-bouncing, as if reenacting a Baywatch episode, and hugs Anneke tightly*

*Anneke returns Bonnie-Marie's hug tightly.* "I have a family," *she whispered, overcome as tears sparkled in her eyes.* "I cannot wait for rehersals to start for the next opera!" *She drew back to smile at Bonnie-Marie.* "Do you know what opera they have planned to do next? Hannibal? Faust? Il Muto? And I've heard strange things about a certain Don Juan Triumphant...!"

I haven't heard a thing about what opera is next ((I have a few ideas *cough*)), but I'm sure you'll get the lead! Oh, and I do so hope that I get a part in the chorus, so we can perform together! How exciting this all is! Come on, let's go tell everyone that we're cousin-in-laws!
