"Well," she said, after a moment's hesitation. "Bottom's up."
She drank it down quickly, before any second thoughts or doubt could surface. She made a face at the taste, but concentrated on any sensations that might crop up. She felt tingly, but nothing more beyond that.
"Kinda tickles."

He might have added something for taste, if he'd thought about it. For the lady's sake, of course; he'd never thought it necessary with himself. And even honey might add some unwanted effect...
"Tickles?" he repeated. It wasn't a word he'd have used, necessarily. "Does it hurt?"

"Nope--"
Actually, it felt warm now, the kind of tingling you got when you'd just stepped under really hot (but not scalding) water.
"It's all tingly and stuff. Kind of warm."
She glanced at her hand, but it didn't look any different. She poked at her front teeth--
"Ahhha! It's gone!"

Warmth made sense--vampires were cooler, body temperature-wise, than humans. Wouldn't there be a sensation of warmth, briefly, as one got used to it again?
He refused to jump to conclusions, however, and his efforts to do so were interrupted by her cry.
"What?" he asked urgently. "What's gone?"

She pointed at her bared canine teeth.
"Th' fangs! They're gone!"

Jekyll could not suppress the quick smile, a flush of pride. The smile was permissible. The pride... He'd done too much harm to feel comfortable with that trait. Unthinking, he ripped off the bandage that still covered the cut on his hand.
"Do you feel anything?" he asked. "Any urge at all?"

She stared at his hand a moment, and when nothing came, took it in hers. All she felt was the contours, the skin texture.
"None! I think you did it!"
She could see the sun again! No, better--eat whatever she damn well felt like eating. Sleep when she wanted to sleep. She threw her arms around him.
"Thank you so much!"

Now he could smile, for a moment letting himself relax slightly against her, improper as it was, filled with mixed signals as he felt. He held the injured hand well away from her.
"You're welcome," he murmured. It was the least he could do for her, after everything...
And it struck him that he had discovered something very, very important.

She was grinning happily, practically bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"Now I can't wait for the sunrise."

Jekyll's usually haunted eyes were actually smiling with her, though he was suspicious of that streak of pride, still. Even so, it was right to be happy for her. To have done this for her.
"May I wait with you?" he asked softly. "Or would you prefer solitude?"

"Oh, I'd love it if you waited with me." She said, her voice softening. He was the one that had found a solution to that particular ill, after all.

"Then I shall," he said. "Where shall we go? To watch it; it seems momentous enough to warrant some celebration."

"Ohhh...gotta have a nice view. The park? Hmmm, Eiffel Tower? Or over the river!"

"Someplace... safe," Jekyll cautioned. "Your cure is good news, of course, but you aren't going to be as strong as you were."

"Ah...yeah, ye're right."
She forced herself to calm down, and try to think more clearly.
"Well, the Bois is pretty safe, I'd say. Nice little park in an' you don't hear much about things goin' wrong there."
