John looked up and almost squeaked, he hadn't noticed the cut before "Oh my, let me get a first aid kit" before Laszlo could respond he was off to grab the kit.

"Wait--"
But John had already rushed off.
"It's not as bad as it looks!" He yelled after him.
It really wasn't. Cuts on the forehead tended to bleed a lot and make things looks worse than they actually were.

Moments later John reappeared with small first aid kit that was just a part of a huge one they had. Knocking on the door John breathed out a "It's John."

He opened the door. He'd started on trying to wash the blood off his face in the bathroom, but hadn't gotten very far and probably looked a bit odd with a freshly-scrubbed cheek but still blood-caked forehead.

"Sorry, it was just down the hall" John moved passed Laszlo in to his room "please continue washing, but at least permit me to look at it when you are finished."

"Ah...'kay."
He was gone for a little while, as dried blood could be a pain in the neck to wash off. Even so, he managed to make himself look halfway decent before he walked back out of the bathroom. The cut on his forehead had already clotted.

John stood up awkwardly and walked over to him "Well it's not too bad and it's all ready hard, but let me put a bandage on it anyway, it'll help with scarring."

"Yeah, sure."
He sat down on the edge of the bed with a sigh. Another scar, huh? He was almost to the point where he didn't care about that anymore.

John made sure his gloves were tight as he cut out a piece of bandage and put some medicine on it. He was careful and fatherly as he placed it on Laszlo's head, catching his breath as he did so. It wasn't that he didn't want to hurt the boy, it was more that he was stopping himself for saying anything. He wanted to both console the boy and scold him for his lifestyle, but it wasn't his choice and he wasn't his father, and there was nothing he could do.
He knew Laszlo had no choice in the matter, but it hurt him to see such a fine young lad in such a situation.
"There we are" he said as he exhaled.

"Thanks."
He resisted the urge to reach up and touch the bandage.
"Get a lot of injured in this place?" He joked, trying to steer any possible conversation from the subject of the vampire or what else John might've seen.

He blinked. He actually hadn't been serious when he asked that question.
"Uh...right. So, um, thanks for the help, but I gotta go."

John frowned "You need to rest" he stared at him straight in the eye "please."

He shook his head, which caused a lock of his hair to fall in his eyes. He swept it back out of the way and stood as he spoke.
"I don't need to rest. And even if I did, I can't."

It was only then that John realized what a delightful looking boy he was, he pushed the thought from his mind quicker than it came about. Sighing he looked down at the ground "You would go back out there?"
