(("Dracula! I choose you!"))
Krolock snorted.
"No, rocks aren't nearly as interesting."

( ("I've run out of vampiballs, so you'll have to share." That's funny for different reasons with all sorts of vampires))
"Can't think of much else... art, perhaps?"
After all, museums seemed to be standing the test of time fairly well.

((Is it bad that I want to write that as some kind of crackfic? "Vampimon! Pocket Monsters!" Oh, GOD...must not must not must not...))
His expression brightened, though since it was Krolock, that wasn't a whole lot.
"Yes. Have you been to the Louvre yet?"

((Do it! Just the idea of Herbert being a Pocket Monster... think of the puns!))
"Unfortunately, no... I suppose most people do that before descending into the sewers, eh?" Yager was well aware he did not belong to 'most people'.
Still, he liked art well enough... as long as it was obvious what it should be. If things were left open to interpretation he would either not get it or his imagination would run with him... and that often led to strange things, even for him.

((Ahahaha...don't encourage me! I'm seriously tempted now. XD))
"No? You should try it. They keep rather interesting hours, so one may find rather fascinating people there as well as the art."

((*like pokemon sounds* "Kro-lock!" "Dracu-la!"))
"Maybe I will... perhaps we could go together some time? You seem to know a lot about it." It was always nice to have someone around to tell him what things were supposed to be... keep his imagination in check.

He thought about that...why not? Certainly, Yager can get on one's nerves, but when he wasn't doing that he was actually good company. That, and he had promised that he'd Get Out More.
"Well, I don't see why not. The Louvre is a lovely place."

"Great, it's a..." Yager fell silent for a few moments and eyed the count, quickly deciding that 'date' would somehow be... wrong.
"An appointment," he finished triumphantly.

"Perfect. I believe now is bordering on too late, so we'll give it a chance tomorrow, at a reasonable hour of the night...if that is a good time?"

"Between daylight having unpleasant consequences for you and an unreasonable hour of night leaving me close to narcoleptic? Excellent." Yager smiled.
Hey... where and when had he learned the word 'narcoleptic'?
Come to think of it, what did it mean?

((Hahahaha))
"Yes...I think eight o'clock would do rather well, don't you think?"

"Yes, that seems fine." There would be time for dinner beforehand... Yager couldn't help but wonder whether the count fed every night.
The vampire hunter knew he could handle that, but balancing need and pleasure and practicality was always a challenge.

Luckily, Krolock only took blood on alternating evenings. Being an older vampire did have its perks.
"Excellent. Oh, will you be staying at the castle again, or did you have a residence of your own?"

"I don't tend to stay in one place long enough to bother with an actual residence." Yager shrugged.
The life of a vampire hunter mostly consisted out of nights out in the woods, traveling from place to place and occasionally staying inside local taverns. From time to time there would be the scared villagers or vampire lords who would extend their hospitality, but Yager was well used to nights out in the field.
