Le Parisien
This paper was born out of an urge to publish a constant, unifying, in-character news source for this version of Paris. That doesn't mean it's the last word on anything, but I truly believe it'll be a good thing for the site. You can read it to keep up on what others are up to, and your characters can read it to keep up on "current" events! Now that that's over with, on to the details!
What's going to be in it?
Articles: Every week, hopefully on Monday morning or Sunday night, I'll post a Submission Thread. In this thread, you can link to threads you think are newsworthy. I'll read these throughout the week and on Friday start writing up articles--varying in length, depending upon how important the contained events are to the board at large.
It would be convenient if you could summarize the threads when you submit them.
Interviews/Reporters: In certain cases, I may PM to ask if I can interview a few characters. I'll send an NPC reporter over to ask questions, and then I'll publish. I may ask if I can send a reporter to the scene.
Feel free to PM this account if you want a reporter on the scene. I'm always open to suggestions on how to improve.
Classifieds/Advertisements: Submit these in the Submission Post, or for privacy's sake, PM them to this account. I'll be on it fairly often.
How can I get involved?
Writing: If you'd like to include an article, PM this account with the thread(s) that it relates to and the text of the article itself. I may ask if I can make a few edits (just grammar things and the like), but chances are I will include it. In-character or out-of character are both applicable, but in-character employment will be addressed later.
Editorials: Submit via PM. Two or three will be published every week. If you submit out of character, I will include them under anonymous authorship. You can also specify if you've written the piece in-character, or if you specifically want it to be anonymous.
In-Character Employment: If anyone's interested in having their character employed by the paper, PM me and I'll ask Kris to set it up under Establishments.
In Conclusion
I think that this will be a lot of fun, and it'll bring us together as a community, both in and out of character. Happy RPing!
