*Susan put her things down on a chair by the door and sat on the edge of the narrow but comfortable bed, looking around. She sighed briefly--she felt lonesome, by herself in this strange place...even in Narnia, in the beginning, she'd been with her brothers and sister.*
"No matter. I'll keep busy," *she murmured to herself, her brow furrowing for a moment before she shook off the feeling and flopped back on her bed, suddenly realizing how tired she was after walking for so long. She gave a single yawn as her eyes drifted shut, and within moments she was asleep.*

***NEXT MORNING***
Susan woke early, sitting up with a gasp, uncertain of her surroundings.
A moment later, it all came flooding back to her, and she breathed a guarded sigh of relief. She still had work to do, however.
She found her boots on the floor and pulled them on, lacing them quickly. She considered her quiver and bow by the foot of the bed for a moment, and decided she'd rather have them than not, and so she slung them over her shoulder and buckled on her belt about her hips, her horn swinging from one side.
Gathering her long dark hair over one shoulder and trying to tidy it, she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she went downstairs looking for something to do in exchange for breakfast.
