((good to hear it's not just me... there should be a Hot Topic in Paris so they can burn it down together. Like a pact. "Let's not kill each other until we've destroyed all the posers" )) "Meh, I don't like zombies. I mean, the blood-drinking... that's not so bad. Relatively minor scars, all in all... but when things start biting chunks out of me. Honestly, that's where I draw the line."

((Dude, I'd help burn them down! XD))
"Zombies...they should barely qualify as undead. Mindless, disgusting, falling apart and going around killing everything in sight. Really, now...that's not how it's done."

"You're right! You're absolutely right! Whatever happened to class? Honestly! Whatever happened to a nice, good game of cat and mouse before all the feeding and potential dying? I mean, there's the hunger... obviously that can make one impatient, but still... they ought to have some class, some dignity."
Yager shook his head at the sadness of the undead nowadays. They just didn't know how it was supposed to be done anymore.
"I mean, call me mister old fashioned, but I prefer some slow seduction or possibly a bit of chasing, running and hiding before I get fangs slammed into my arteries."

"My thoughts exactly." He said approvingly, forgetting for the moment that he was talking to a vampire hunter.
"All of these other vampires just grab people and drag them into alleyways. There's no finesse in doing that! Really, more like thugs and brutes than anything else." He sniffed disdainfully.

((Clearly someone doesn't know that his son goes around in a carriage, luring in people who want to be turned, drinking from them without using his fangs so they don't die or turn, and then kicking them out while making disdainful comments about people who trust strangers.))

"Exactly! I mean, it's hardly a fair deal, is it? Whatever happened to fair dealings?"
Yager frowned for a moment, maybe 'fair' was a big word.
"Well, fair enough anyway. I mean, promises of eternal life, eternal love... the whole sweeping away business. At least there was something rather than just surprise fang penetration."

"Indeed, yes."
He wavered in place a moment, beginning to feel the strain of forcing himself to stay awake like this. Even one as old as he couldn't completely skip out on his rest.

Yager was immediately at the vampire's side, steadying him.
"Are you alright?" he asked, looking at the man whose murder he'd previously planned with clear and genuine concern.

The look Krolock gave him was a bit muddled, so it was hard to tell if it was incredulity or thankfulness. Maybe both...
"It's really not normal for me to be awake at this hour."

"Oh, I'm sorry." And from the look on his face, it could be told that the vampire hunter was indeed sorry for waking a vampire at an inconvenient hour.
"Is there anything I can do?" Hopefully something other than leave... he was beginning to take quite a liking to the man.

Krolock's smile was a bit lopsided.
"I need to sleep." He said simply.
"Hmm...maybe just lie down again..." He glanced at the open coffin.

"Come..." Yager said, quite softly, supporting the count as he walked back towards the coffin.
The hunter was beginning to feel a bit guilty about the whole thing. Their conversation might be very pleasant, but he felt he was being rather selfish keeping the other man up like this. They could after all still talk when it was night and the vampire was properly rested.

Certainly not about to protest, he followed Yager over to the coffin and, at last (or so it felt) he settled back down in his customary resting place.
"Much better."

"Good, I'd hate to put you through any discomfort."
Stakes through the heart, crucifixes, sunlight and holy water not included... though Yager was by now rather reluctant about those as well.

The man really was confusing, but Krolock wasn't going to question his good fortune in running across what seemed to be an almost reluctant vampire slayer.
"Not at all. I could have simply stayed asleep instead of causing all the fuss."
