This was one of the more frustrating days Aeris had experienced in a while. At least, it would be to anyone else with a vaguely normal life. Annoyed now, and without a game or even a book, she decide to get something to eat, if they served cats.
On opening the door, though, the first thing she heard was...exactly her opinion. Why did they abuse intelligent people so?! Before she knew it, she'd crushed her cup in one hand. "It's about damned time somebody said that!" she replied from the doorway.

"GAHH!" Billy nearly knocked over his chair when someone spoke up at the end of his rant, but finished the job as he realized it was a pink cat.
"...How long have you been listening?" He asked after righting his chair and checking for open wounds. There were none, but he'd probably have a bruise in the morning.

Whoops. Didn't mean to startle him. Throwing away her cup, Aeris rolled her eyes vaguely; was her presence so alarming?
"I just came in; why do you ask?"

"Because... I didn't expect anyone else to come here?" Billy asked.

"What, I'm not allowed to stop in for something to eat? If it's reserved, I'm sorry, but I didn't see any sign." Aeris glanced around for a menu nonetheless. "Still, that's probably the most logical thing I've heard anyone say in months."

"No, it's just--I'm kind of... new to France," he answered.

"Oh. Well, that's alright, then. So am I." Aeris nodded, then turned away from him for a moment, deciding on what to order. Still, she couldn't just let that go, really, and she sighed slightly, walking up to the other girls.
"Aeris. Aeris Very Pink. I didn't choose the name." She held out her hand.

Hallie grinned. This was turning out to be a very profitable day.

"I'm Rinoa Heartilly," she said, shaking Aeris' hand (paw?) and trying to suppress the feeling of how very strange her situation was. "I... didn't choose my name either, but I did leave off the part I didn't like."

"Well, and hello to you all." She shook hands/paws. Finally deciding that she was going to stay, at least to hear this out and have something to eat, Aeris sat back in the chair. "Oh, I don't know...something light.
WAIT...did you say Rinoa Heartilly?!" Okay, things were getting weirder and weirder. Now game characters were popping up even when she was on vacation.

"Um, yes..." There were two reasons for the sudden double-take from Aeris. One was relatively harmless but a bit of a stretch, and the other was even more of a stretch as well as being something Rinoa didn't like talking about. She went with the first one. "Are you a fan of my mom's music or something?"

Thinking quickly, Aeris decided it would probably not be best to introduce the idea that Rinoa could be a fictional character. It didn't sound like it would end well. Besides, here she could be real after all, who knew? It was a weird place, from the looks of it.
So, tactfully, she smiled, doing her best to be natural. "Oh, naturally! Who could forget Julia?" She hummed a bit of "Eyes on Me"--now that was going to be in her head for weeks.

"So what exactly is your definition of 'light,' Aeris? Like, dessert or savory pie? Or, I don't know, I could do a quiche or something." she offered. She failed at choosing things. She blamed her being a Libra.
