Arianne held the door open so that Anei Roth could walk through without putting down any of her weapons.
"You may sleep in my uncle's room. Upstairs, first door on the right. There is enough room for all of your... tools.
There is food in the kitchen, but some of it needs to be thrown away. None of it requires a great deal of preperation. Speaking of food, I haven't eaten anything in two days, so if you'll excuse me, I'll do that now." She took the keys out of the door and let it swing shut, then headed into the kitchen. She did not ask if the sueslayer wanted anything; she was not in the habit of asking anyone anything.

(In response to your last post at 'Waiting? For What?'... Teh. And the room is yours to paint.)
Anei didn't spare more than a bemused expression for Arianne's distracted rudeness, still hefting the large dufflebag full of supplies over one shoulder. The Monks had taught her to care for her wounds first, her gear second, and her stomach last, a precept of faith she would live by on this ordeal, Arianne's asistance or no.
"I'll be down in a few minutes after I'm done stowing these," she volunteered warmly enough, "Make sure you don't burn the house down as per our agreement and feed myself."
With this, she vanished upstairs, turned right, and after moment's hesistation, opened the door to the chamber that had housed her distractable-Oracle's previous guardian.

Arianne snorted. As if she'd do something as dangerous as cook! There was plenty of food in the house that required neither fire nor knives, and if the sueslayer wanted anything that did she could make it herself.
For now, she settled on a fruit salad, a baguette and some water for herself. She'd show Anei where everything was when she came down - people tended to get pissy when she assumed she knew what they wanted all the time, even though she was always right. People were strange that way.
Changing her mind, she set out a glass of orange juice on the far side of the table from her own seat.

Anei came downstairs a few minutes latter, having cached her equiptment in various drawers, closet shelves, and a convient loose floorboard, her gloves, shoes, and cloak removed. Her features are composed and warm, hair loose and framing her face.
"Hmm," the assasin ventured mildly, "You really weren't kidding when you said you didn't trust yourself with basic care. Even I usually don't have meals that... simple, and I was raised by monks. A little warm meat with a meal is good for the soul after all."

"I know my limits," she replied. "I set fire to my hair last trime I tried to cook. I didn't notice until my uncle started screaming and shoved a cloth over my face. I lost most of my hair, and was lucky not to scar." She said all this in a conversational tone, apparantly seeing nothing strange about it.
"Are you settled in all right?" she asked curteously.

"I see," replied Anei, internally berating herself for having tied herself to such a vulnerable ally and a task almost as daunting as her vow. No helping it now though, so she shrugged.
"My supplies are safely stowed for the moment," she continued, "Although I will be asking if you know if there are any places nearby where I can restore my supplies. Ammunition, first aid, clothing repair, food if I'm to be cooking for both of us, that kind of thing. Hopefully you won't find that a burden.

She shook her head. "Apologies, but there is nowhere which sells ammunition at this time. It self-replenishes for those who use it. For first aid, there is the Infirmery in the Opera House. It would be safe enough for me to repair your clothing, when needed. There are many restaraunts in Paris - Le Vegetarte, The Grasshopper and the Scorpion, the ABC Cafe and the Opera House's Cafeteria, to name but a few. Just do not enter Mrs Lovett's Pie Shop. You don't want to know."

Her eyes lost some of their mirth at this. Self... Replenishing ammunition? Oh Merciful Creator, if that was true, she'd have to upgrade the infestation level to Omega. That kind of stuff was normal for Mythos-or-similarly-Infernally afflicted globes... But here? Okay. Ask the significant question at the end of a statement.
"Does that ability apply to most natives of this world as well? That could... complicate my objectives here," she ventured, "Especially in extremis. Sues are difficult enough to put down without a world-wide resurection effect backing them up."

"I'm afraid so," she replied sympathetically. "It depends on the circumstances. The trick will be to make the deaths as dramatic as possible; it will drastically increase their chances of staying dead if returning to life would ruin the drama."

Anei sipped her orange juice, reflecting on that. She would have, HAD to be specialized on stealth assasination, wouldn't she? This would make things far more difficult... She'd had a few lessons in basic drama, and pushing it too far one way or the other would be dangerously easy. Hmmph, she'd cope somehow. Too many innocents were at stake for her to do anything less, much as somehow nuking this world from orbit would make her feel better. Even if she could arrange that...
"So I take it infiltrating a nest of Sues and pulling a Judas at the worst possible moment would be a good start to that?" the Assasin ventured, "I would like to begin soon as possible, so any information you could... recall on a suitable target, would be welcome. Perhaps by the morning as I still need to eat and you need to bathe."

"The morning, then. I will need some time to consider the information available to me and decide what course of action would be best. I'll leave you to your meal and do as you suggest. Good night."
She finished the last of her meal and went upstairs.
