*cringe*
Nance woke some time later, and found the plate Donovan had left for her. She nibbled at the cheese, sitting up in bed, uncertain what she ought to do with herself. She'd made such a fool of herself that morning...it hardly bore thinking about.

*Donavan perked up, standing after cleaning the tub a second time. He hung her wet garments over it so they would drip in a confined manner. Arching his back and rubbing his knees, he headed back to the bedroom and knocked faintly so as not to disturb her if she still slept.*

"Ye-es?" called Nance softly, putting down the piece of cheese.

*Donavan was a bit surprised to hear her.*
"Do you...feel better?"
*His hand rested on the knob, but he didn't turn it.*
"May I come in?"

"Yes," she repeated simply, hastily buttoning the shirt up to her neck and re-arranging the sheets neatly.

*Donavan cracked the door, then slipped in but lingered there. He didn't want to invade her space more than necessary. He managed a smile.*
"Is...the food all right?" *He asked gingerly.*

"Oh, it's lovely. Thank you," she said with a nod, offering a small smile. He seemed to like it when she smiled, she had noticed, and so she made a particular effort to try.

*It was such a blessing to see her smile and Donavan answered it tenfold.*
"You're most welcome." *His eyes dropped as he briefly licked his lip.*
"I...uh...hope the bath matter wasn't too weird. And that, you could enjoy it, at least a little."
*He didn't look at her then, in case whatever had broken her earlier still remained.*

"T-the bath was nice," she said, bowing her head, blushing even more. "I'm...glad I tried it."

*That gave him a bit more confidence. He didn't raise his head, but his smile broadened.*
"You're welcome any time you like. I normally try to get one in once a week."
*Why was it so strange to talk to her? Oh right, she hadn't wanted to see him again.*

"Alright..." she said, trying not to think about Donovan in the bath. It was indecent...it was improper...it was...different.

"Um..." *Donavan was trying not to panic. And doing a half-way decent job at it.*
"I was thinking...you might like to get some sun. If you want. I didn't know how well you were feeling, but...it's a nice day. There's a small park and...well, it's not to far and there's a bench and..."
*He shook his head tightly, trying to stop his babbling tongue.*
"I just thought you might like it."

Nance swallowed, then nodded slowly.
"...that...that would be nice, I think."
She'd been through parks...always on her way somewhere. The wooded areas sometimes made for a quick bit of coin to be had. She wondered what it would be like to enjoy a park for what it was.

*Donavan nodded slightly, affirming the thought.*
"Well...you just let me know when you're feeling up for it, and I'd be happy to escort you."
*He tried to keep his smile reined in, as not to startle her.*

"Yes...yes I will...--thank you."
Nance paused, then managed a faltering smile.
