Louis found himself for the first time in many weeks back at the front door of the opera.
Wearing his finest he walked through the doors and nodded cordially to many of the people who were walking around waiting for the nights show to start.
He was in a slightly better mood than he had been and found himself chatting with a few young men about politics and other nonesense.
((If I spell anything wrong, tell me, because I don't have a spell checker on this computer and I'm a awful bad speller.))

Though she hardly expected it to cheer her up, Claudia, too, had returned to the opera, slipping in behind a nicely-dressed couple so as not to raise unnecessary attention, and in one of her own nicer dresses as well.
Wandering about the foyer, simply peoplewatching (she was not, for the moment, very hungry), she sighed to herself. Pleasant enough. Perhaps here she could get some relief from...
Wait. Was that--? It was.
She would have been breathless with excitement if it were possible as she quietly but quickly hurried in that direction, thinking of how to approach this. Well, perhaps initially, direct was best. "Hello, Louis."
((It's fine.))

Startled, Louis turned quickly and looked down at the voice "Hello?" He stared at the young girl for a moment, trying to place her, but he couldn't, she was like a memory he had yet to experience, a deja-vu, almost.
It was only then that he noticed her teeth and the smell of death about her, he remembered Lestat once telling him that the dark gift was different for everyone. It was quite possible that this young vampire had simply read his mind and found out his name.

Yes, it was the same old Louis. Everything seemed to take him rather by surprise, and she liked that about him, and smiled. Of course she knew she couldn't hope to exactly reach him on the same level as before, but this was just the first time they'd met...again, sort of.
Actually, Claudia did rather wish she could read minds. But as it was, she simply beamed, or as close to it as she could. "I'm not surprised to find you here again; you always did like this. But, I trust, you've not found any other dance partners?" she suggested, knowing that it would be cryptic and somewhat teasing.

"Yes, I-" he ignored his mind and smiled at the young girl, for all he knew she was hundreds of years old "no I'm afraid I haven't Mm.-?"

Claudia tried not to show her surprise on catching his slip. Oh, so he had, had he? Well, she'd have to see about that in more detail soon.
"Ah, introductions...always the hardest part, though I couldn't expect you to remember me. I am Claudia, of course. Of New Orleans."

He raised his eyebrows "An American, well it's a delight to meet you Mm. Claudia."

She shook her head slightly.
"I assure you, I am French. Yankees are not...to my taste. 'Their democratic flavor doesn't suit my palate, Louis.'" She adjusted her sleeve and gently cleared her throat. "And quite in return, I assure you, though this is not quite as...dramatic as our very first meeting."

"I'm afraid I don't know what your talking about" he said as calmly as he could "have we truly met before?"

"Indeed we have, and under normal circumstances it would be hardly one you could forget, nor the time we spent thereafter together. But, it's a bit difficult to explain, yet it appears that all of that no longer happened here. I would tell to ask Lestat," she added, stretching slightly after walking all the way here, "but he can't remember a thing either."

"Lestat?" Louis face grew pale "You have spoken to Lestat?"
Truth be told Louis hadn't seen Lestat in a long while, although he wasn't sure why a man no enamored with him would suddenly dissappear as he did.
((Being as he's retired now, lol.))

She frowned, with another sigh.
"Oh, surely you jest. I've done far more than that, and...well, he's done more than that to me. And, of course, you." She hadn't seen him too recently, but as she had been telling Daniel, she had seen him around--and didn't want to be deprived of her revenge. Ah, well. For now, Louis was here.
"You know, it's all your fault. But I'm willing to forgive you."

Louis ignored the girls last statement "How long ago did you speak to him?"

Of course he did. "Oh, I don't know...perhaps a month or so ago?" She shrugged impatiently.

Louis hung his shoulders "I have no seen him in much longer than that" he shook his head "oh what does it matter? I shouldn't care, he's a tyrant and fiend and I should be glad for my freedom."
Louis didn't even appear to be speaking to anyone.
