*The girl knocked at the door. The master of the house certainly had some explaining to do.*
(Sao Feng--any time? Or would he go to the opera looking for her?)

((Nadir first ;D ))
*At that moment, a group of horses came riding up. Unlike upon their approach to the Mongolian encampment, the men this time around bore no identifier. The better to catch anyone at home unprepared. Sao Feng reined in his horse, one eyebrow going up at the sight of the girl at the door.*
"So it would seem I am not the only one seeking out Monsieur Khan." He said without preamble.

"Er...yes..." *she said uneasily.*

*Sao Feng dismounted, though he didn't draw closer.
He was sizing her up, trying to determine who she was. He felt he should know who this was, but it seemed to elude him*
"Let us hope the master of the house is at home."

*The girl stepped back a little, feeling uneasy in general about strangers and in particular about the way this one seemed to be appraising her.*
"Yes..." *she said softly.* "I have business with him."
*That didn't sound right.*
"On behalf of a...friend."

*A maid answered the door and ushered both of them towards the parlour to wait for M. Khan.*

*Though Sao Feng was growing a bit impatient, he did not show it. Rather, he stood quietly in the room while he and the girl waited for the son of Khan. He did not sit, opting to stand near the fireplace.* "I hope this does not take long. I have a schedule to keep." *If one was closely paying attention to him, they might notice a slight smirk that quickly disappeared. *
