*Helen blushed and looked down. It didn't seem like she was the least glad for her virginity.*
"I suppose I am. At least until my husband finds me. The gods know what he'll do to me then."
*She fought back an urge to cry. She didn't want to be found by Menelaus. She didn't want to be pulled by her hair to his bed and being raped by him. She silently cursed her parents, who had forced her into marrying a man she didn't love. She looked up at Gawain with tears in her eyes.*
"Whatever happens to you in the future, Gawain, let nobody force you into a marriage with someone you don't love. A marriage like that is Hell on Earth. I have been there, so I know."

"I will do my best to keep that in mind." *Gawain smiled gently.*
"But you are free for now."

*Helen smiled, the tears still glittering in her eyes.*
"Not for long. I know my husband. He will rather see me dead than give me my freedom. He will come looking for me sooner or later. And when he finds me, he will drag me to his bed after my hair, then he will rape me first and kill me afterwards. He is revengeful and cruel. My parents forced me into marrying him."

"I am sorry that you are so unhappy." *Gawain's brows lifted.* "But you seem so happy only moments ago."

*Helen smiled softly.*
"I'm sorry, Gawain. The memories of the past still causes me pain. As long as I manage to forget it, even if it is only for a little while, I am happy."
*She sat down at the bed beside him and looked up at him with her bright blue eyes.*
"What do you do when you are trying to forget something painful?"

*Gawain shrugged, answering honestly.*
"I've never felt like that. I don't know."

*Helen looked over at him in awe.*
"You've never felt pain, anxiety, hatred or sadness? But you can feel, can't you? Can you feel love, lust, desire, joy?"

"Oh, of course." *Gawain answered easily.*
"I am just very young." *He smiled as if that explained everything.*

Kiba had followed the pair to a few feet from the door, with Tsume stepping into line behind him. The white wolf shifted uncomfortably as saltwater and Helen's distressed voice reached him.
"Even for a human she's kind of weepy," Tsume said.
"She isn't always like this," Kiba answered.
"Why do you bother protecting her? Is it because she looks like Cheza, or because you needed some sort of pack?"
Kiba's answer was a rumble. "Stop asking."
"Okay, okay." He dropped his gaze to keep Kiba from getting more annoyed.

((Awwww. Kiba is so cute when he protects her *melts* ))
*Helen smiled and looked at Gawain.*
"Are you married, Gawain, or have a woman you love?"
*She tried to forget her own past, so she focused her conversation about him instead. She hoped he would understand.*

*Gawain shook his head.*
"I am forbidden to marry. But I am fully capable of loving."

*Helen nodded. In her time there were many reasons for men not to marry. They could be soldiers in an army, or serve one of the gods in the temples. And she seemed Gawain looked both like a saint and a warrior. When he said he was fully capable of loving, it surprised her somehow. She had not expected that from a man like him. She looked up at him, her bright blue eyes showing the surprise she felt.*
"You are? You don't look like you are..."
*She stopped herself from talking, and blushed deeply. She hadn't meant to be rude. She only meant that he looked like he was destined for something holy.*

*Gawain's brow lowered and he looked down at himself.*
"Why not? Am I flawed in some apparent way?"

*Helen looked over at him.*
"Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to insult you. I only meant that you look like you are meant for something sacred. You are not flawed at all. You look... perfect. In my country, you would probably be chosen as a High Priest of some sorts. To serve the gods."
*She blushed and looked over at him.*
"Forgive me for blabbering like I do. It's just... I am not used to being alone with such a handsome and charming young man as yourself..."

*Gawain stood.*
"I can fetch your protector, if you prefer." *He offered.*
