King Menelaus was walking around in the streets of Paris, after his ship had anchored up in the harbour. His dark eyes were scanning his surroundings, looking everywhere for the treacherous little vixen that used to be his wife. After the fall of Troy, she had escaped, and he had to chase after her again.
It was an easy guess that she would seek refuge in the city who carried the name of her former lover. A bitter smile curled Menelaus' strong, well-formed lips, and his strong hands gripped around his sword. If he ever met Helen's lover again...
His eyes fell on a big house at the open place in front of him. It was beautifully decorated. Just like a house she would fall for....
He went up the stairs and opened the double doors, entering the Foyer of the Opera House.

*William cursed himself for being late. It was frustrating, but at least it was only a rehearsal. But he was looking forward to watching the piece be formed from the basest of materials. It gave him better insight into the performers. He walked briskly through the foyer, noting a man in rather peculiar garments. He slowed to study him.*
"Dress rehearsals already?" *He queried, mainly to himself.* "For...Faust?" *Not any version he'd ever seen. He approached the man with a confused smile.*
"The show is still Faust, no?" *He questioned politely.* "Or has the Opera taken on another production as well?" *That would be ambitious.*

Menelaus heard a voice speaking to him in a peculiar language. It was not Greek, Latin or Egyptian. But he had heard the language before. He turned his head slowly and noticed a man speaking to him. He furrowed his eyebrows. What was the man talking about? Dress rehearsals? He always wore clothes like these.
He looked at the other man's clothings. It was an expensive tailored suit from the late 1800s. And he was carrying a top hat and a leather case. Of course Menelaus didn't know this. He looked critically at the man? Why didn't he wear an armor or a leather tunic? His enemies would slaughter him in a moment if they saw him like this. And where was his helmet?
Menelaus was dressed like a warrior king, and carrying his own helmet His sword was hanging on his side, easy to access. He also had a bow and arrows, ready for war.
He calmly met the other man's gaze. He did not feel threatened by one that seemed so easy to kill. His deep barytone voice spoke to William in English.
"My name is Menelaus, King of Sparta. I recently arrived to Paris."

All right...
*William looked a bit unnerved by his response.*
"Well..." *He started unsure.* "If you're looking for the rehearsal, it's already started. I'm late myself."
*And silently, he started to wonder if this man didn't belong upstairs. In the Psytch Ward at the Infirmary. But his smile never faded.*

*King Menelaus calmly met the man's gaze. He looked a bit unnerved. Menelaus wondered why. The man was talking about a rehearsal. Menelaus had no idea what that meant, but it wouldn't harm to have a look, to find out what all these new things meant.
He smiled soothingly to the man and spoke calmly in his deep barytone voice. There was a hint of Greek accent in his English.*
"It could be interesting to witness a rehearsal. I have never seen one before."

*William's brow lowered.*
"I'm sorry, sir, but if you're not a member of the production...it's a closed rehearsal. That is, the public is not allowed to view it."

*King Menelaus smiled.*
"Ah well, it doesn't really matter. I am just here looking for my wife. You wouldn't happen to know if there is a woman named Helen in this building? She is about this tall, fair skin, bright blue eyes and long blonde curls. She will probably be wearing a costume like the woman had in Greece."
*He gestured with his hands to show Helen's size. Something told him that it was best to not tell that Helen's outfit wasn't a costume, but the real life outfit for a queen.*

*William lifted his brow at the description.*
"Nope. I haven't seen anyone like that. But I'll keep an eye out. If there's nothing else..." *He glanced in the direction of the theater.*

*King Menelaus smiled and bowed his head politely.*
"Thank you. I appreciate that. If you find the woman, you will be greatly rewarded. But I am keeping you. You probably have more important things to do."

"Thank you." *William said eagerly, tipping his head.*
"A pleasant day to you sir." *Without waiting for an answer, her hurried down the hall to the stairs that led to the boxes.*

*King Menelaus smiled and looked after the peculiar man, wondering how long it would take before he was killed by enemies.*
"And a pleasant day to you sir."
*He replied in his ancient Greek.*
