Kiba, in his attempt to avoid humans, had taken the most roundabout way he could. Unfortunately, he had also gone up several flights of stairs and upon breaking down yet another door (this time he just rammed it open instead of ripping out the doorknob), was dismayed to find himself on the roof.
"Damn it!"
He headed to the edge of the roof, careful to keep up his human illusion as he sat down irritably.
"How do I get out of here?" he asked with a growl, pacing along the edge. He couldn't jump off because it was too high and the humans below would panic, he couldn't re-trace his steps in case one of the humans he'd seen might want to talk to him, and he definitely did NOT want to stay on the roof.
And there was still no sign of his pack, which pissed him off even more. He continued pacing for a while, and presently he dropped his human disguise and headed back inside.
Hell with it, I'm going back down.

**NEW DAY** She sat on the roof, contemplating the skyline of Paris. She wasn't really sure what to do with herself anymore. The managers had gotten even more reclusive, to the point where almost the only way you could see them was if you were a Phantom that knew all the secret passageways in the opera house. As a result, she couldn't go back and ask if she could have a job here (not a ballet position--after getting and then leaving ballet positions, TWICE, she was pretty sure she wasn't welcome back into the corps). But she didn't know what else to do. Most of her talents were in dance, and if she couldn't do that, then what else was there? Sinking to thievery? It wasn't as though she hadn't been stealing anything...but that wasn't just to steal...it was to survive... What am I thinking? Am I actually justifying this to myself? And yet... She sighed, shaking her head. Nothing made sense anymore, not even her own mind .
