She was thirsty.
“You’d have to pay. I don’t have any money on my person.”

*He looked a little taken aback.*
"Even if you had I couldn't possibly consider letting you pay for a single thing." *He said, offering her his arm again.*

This time she took his arm without delay.
“I can’t be gone for too long. My friend will worry if I suddenly disappear.”

((Oh no you DIDN'T!))
“She might just think I wandered off and became lost again. I’m new to the layout of this city.”

"Yes, it's blue," said Iris, who had forgotten she was even wearing the mask. They were dreadfully comfortable.

((I SEE YOUR PRINCESS BRIDE REFERENCE.))
"That's... very specific." *He said, looking a little bewildered when they came upon a whole large section of blue cloaks. He'd grabbed his own cloak and opera cape (neither of which he was wearing because they made him look somewhat foolish, in his opinion) from where he'd stashed them behind the ticket counter.*

((Dangit! I’m not sneaky!))
Iris began checking the bottom hem of the nearest blue cloak.
“It has the name ‘Meg’ embroidered on the bottom.”

*He started checking cloaks from the other side, and held it up triumphantly when he found one with the proper name embroidered.*
"Found it! I think. Is this it?" *He held it out for her to see.*

“Yes, that’s the one,” Iris took it from him, “Thank you.”

"Ready to go?"

“Unless we plan on spending the evening in the cloakroom,” Iris replied with a small grin.

"ll things considered, if certain couples keep partaking of the punch we won't be alone for long."
*He led her out into the night.*
((I'll make a new thread!))

Meg was by now impatiently waiting for Iris to return. She'd seen her go off with a young man, and that made her terribly happy on Iris's behalf, but she was beginning to worry that she wasn't coming back.
