"With Dent?" Jess smiled "I'm sure you could, the man's a media whore."
((This would be after she met Tony and I realized I haven't even had her think one thing about him, hrm...))

((You could mention him now. Lois should know what to expect 'cause she'll eventually run into him.))
*Lois laughed.*
"I sure hope you don't know this much about me," *she said, jokingly.*

((Well Jess wouldn't want to think about Tony too much, seeing as though this is after she's basically come back from the dead, and the thing with Tony begins during that time. Gosh this is complicated, haha.))
You have nooo idea.
"I know a lot about a lot of people Ms. Lane, it's what I do."

((Then, wouldn't it be better if this thread took place before?))
"Then I guess we aren't that different," *she said plainly but with a grin.*

((Hrmmm, no it would have to be after, there was talk in the London threads about Jess wanting to fix the window herself and installing some stained glass windows. Well this is the verse, if it's a little wonky, no one but us is going to notice.))
"I guess so" she winked "only you make a living at diving in to peoples pasts, I use it for the stories I write. Which mind you make about as much money as my imagination want's to imagine they could."

*Lois laughed.*
"That's pretty clever. I'd really like to read them one day and, if you want, I could probably put in a good word to Perry. Maybe even get them published in the Daily Planet."

Jess's eyes brightened "R-Really? I mean, I don't think there very good, what I mean, you know..."

"Perry has very eccentric tastes and so do many of our readers," *she said supportively.* "If they're any where near as interesting as I think they are, I'm pretty sure you'll do fine. According to Dan, all the stories they've been getting are sappy stories that end in the death of the main female character because of a broken heart. I guess these people are still writing that kind of crap."

Jess made a face that resembled Ariel from the little mermaid when Erik was suggesting names "Oh ew" she sighed "my stuff's, well think of Poe, with a little more edge, lots more sex and far too many witty Kevin Smith-like characters."

*Her eyes grew large.*
"Oh yeah. That'll fly well..." *Lois paused.* "Or not at all. Worth a shot though!"

"I guess I could cut down on the sex a bit" she laughed, her mind wandering to the bottle in her pocket before she remembered the task at hand.
"I've got some work to finish here" she said motioning toward the window and fondling a stained glass peice next to her "but if you'd like to read some of my stuff later, I'd appreciate it."
She realized that the last person that she had read anything to was Renn when she first arrived in Paris.
Renn! Holy shit I haven't seen her in forever and a day...

***POSTING AS LOIS***
"Definitely. I'll come get it from you in a bit."
*Lois looked over at Jess' project.*
"Maybe I could--"
*she stopped as her phone rang. She looked at it then sighed.*
"Perry just can't function," *she said, shaking her head.* "I should take this. I'll see you later, Jess."
"What now, Perry? No! I'm not pregnant! Where the hell did you get that idea? Even if I were, how is that relevant to you? You really need to stop calling me..." *she ranted as she turned and walked out of the room.*

"Yea" she replied watching Lois walk out, a functioning phone sitting on her ear "later."
Once Lois left the room, Jess proceeded to write down a page of notes on her conversation with Lois, she'd extend them later.
If what Lois said was true, than there was a storm brewing in Paris, a storm not even she could have predicted.
"The Joker" she said picking up a panel of wood and gluing it in place "Dent, Crane..." she bit her lower lip and went over to where her stained glass windows were and picked one up. It was a colorful piece with a god like man with long ears standing in the middle shrouded in darkness.

****THAT CONVERSATION NEVER HAPPENED HEH SO YEAH NEW DAY****
*A few days had passed since the awkward chat between Lois and Bruce and, frankly, she had been avoiding him. She hadn't felt like that since... well...
The weather had been rather foul and she found that there wasn't much to do indoors besides write or read. And God knew she had written enough in her life. So she ventured into the main library.
She couldn't believe everything that was in those incredibly tall bookcases. All of her favorite authors and a bunch that she hadn't even heard of. Before she knew it, she was on one of the many ladders, picking out books. Soon, she had Hemingway, Blake, Frost, Chekhov, Faulkner and Dante staked tall in her arms and struggling to reach for A Tale of Two Cities.*

((Don't you love comic book dis-continuity?))
As Bruce had feared, Lois had been avoiding him. He could understand why, of course--he'd said too much. He didn't know what to do about it, however, as his luck as far as women went wasn't exactly the most stellar. So, not knowing how to reverse it, he'd not stepped on Lois' toes and kept out of her way. It wasn't hard, really--the house was enormous.
Though eventually, one would have to expect the two of them to run into each other at some point.
He arrived at the library in time to see Lois teetering.
"Careful--"
