*Julian seemed a bit surprised to see Destler as he emerged from the shadows behind him.*
"Is everything all right, sir? I have not had my full fortnight to work." *Remembering the other matter, he straightened politely.*
"Or are you here to take tea?"

"Tea for another time, Julian. I am very eager the work should be finished quickly--you must understand that being unable to play is like to being dead for me. There is only so much I can take before my music crowds out all my other thoughts, and that can be very dangerous."
He stepped forward and set down the violin case near his feet, pulling his gloves off and holding his poor hands out, palms up, to Julian.
"There must be something you can do, for short-term?"

*Julian's heart ached at the sight of them. He knew his mother well enough to know the pain of not being able to create, to be lifeless for the sake of one's art.*
"I will try. Perhaps there is something that Erik might do to expediate things. He is quite ingenious.*

"So I have observed." He said, gesturing broadly to the underground.
"It needn't be perfect, I don't need sensation, only enough padding to press my strings accurately and without anything loose or too soft." for he had thought already of simply tying a bit of cloth or leather around the ends of his fingers, but dismissed that idea quickly. He thought of dipping them into wax, but the strings would cut into it and catch, and besides, his unusually high temperature wouldn't allow it to remain wholly solid for long enough.

"Please..." *Julian offered, turning towards a corridor.*
"Just follow me and I will take you to him."

((Ahhhh first post in two weeks! )) "Very well. Thank you again, Julian, I'm sure your...mother has quite a bit on his plate if what you've said of him is true--and that I do not doubt. I shall have to think of some way to repay you both."

*Julian tried to smile, but with things as...complicated as they were now... He just nodded and led Destler to the house on the lake.*
((I'll post them there. It's so good to have you back!))
