**AFTER THE WEDDING WE NEVER GOT AROUND TO WRITING**
*Johanna looked out of her window, feeling a bit melancholy. But why? After all, she was married to a man who was good to her and would keep her safe. They didn't love each other, but did that really matter?
Her house wasn't a cage, she told herself as she looked out.*

*Raoul was then inexplicably at the bottom of the window, throwing pebbles at the panes of glass. He'd charmed a servant into disclosing the location of her room. It was an innocent visit, he'd merely wished to see her, but he hadn't known she'd been engaged. Therefore, when she'd changed her name, it had been hard to trace her.*
*But he had, obviously.*

*Johanna looked out, then gasped*
"de Chagny?"

"You proved somewhat hard to find after you got married." *He called cheerfully.*

*She looked away*
"I'm so sorry, I should have told you...but I didn't want-"
He's been looking for me?
"You've been looking for me?"

*He suddenly realized, seemingly for the first time, that seeking out an unmarried woman he'd met only once was probably a little strange.*
"I apologize if it was forward of me..." *He offered bashfully.* "But I only wanted to make sure you were alright. You seemed so upset when you left that day... it would have been a poor Christian indeed who'd have let you run off without at least checking on you afterward."
((It's like crack; I can't stop the quoting!))

"There are many who would have done just that and not lost a wink's sleep over it, either."
*Johanna sighed*
"It's very kind of you...but if I've gotten myself into something, it's my own fault."

"The staff wouldn't let me in. I managed to get the footman to tell me which window was yours, but they wouldn't let me in the door..." *He seemed confused and a little bit suspicious about it.*
((Took liberties with the reason he's at the window and not calling like a normal person. I'll change it if you like.))

((No, that works with de Morangias.))
"My husband is rather...protective of me."
*Suddenly realizing that she sounded like she was in exactly the same position as before, she hastily began to justify things*
"He's not a bad man, really! I'm sorry they were like that to you!"

*He still looked a little suspicious.*
"I do not wish to pry, and it isn't my place to ask... but are you entirely happy, being locked away?"

"No- I mean, I'm not locked up, not the part about being happy."
*She really didn't want to drive him away. But what wlse could she do?*
"It's nice of you to worry about me, though."

"I won't bother you if you don't want me to, Miss... Comtesse de Morangias."

*Johanna blushed*
"Oh sir...I like you. I don't have many friends here, I just don't want you to get in trouble."

*He cocked his head.*
"Trouble?" *This was getting stranger and stranger.*

*Johanna bit her lip. She knew her husband had a tendency toward violence, though she'd never seen him use it on anyone else.*
"I didn't mean anything- just that he might be angry."
*She couldn't help being attracted to the man, and hated herself for it. She was married, after all.*
"I made my choice. My life isn't a fairy tale, but that isn't how the world works."
